Hammond, Ind. (October 17, 2015) — Saturday is nearing its end and Day 3 has almost come to a close at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Ind. As expected, the day’s play did not disappoint. The third and final starting flight in Event #1, a $365 re-entry tournament with nine $1,675 Main Event seats added, drew a hefty field of 1,000 entries. Not only did that number represent the largest of the three flights, it helped push the combined field well past 2,000 entries and top it out at 2,211 — almost 13 percent more than last year’s tournament.
In all, the prize pool in the opening weekend headliner totaled $663,300. Each of the top 225 finishers are assured a score of $716 with the tournament’s champion earning $101,190, a Circuit gold ring and 50 points toward the Casino Championship.
