QUARTER MILLION SUNDAY

Between the three events, more than $250,000 was awarded Sunday at Horseshoe S. Indiana. Robert Cheung won his first gold ring

Elizabeth, Ind. (Oct. 4, 2015) -- It was a big Sunday at the Horseshoe S. Indiana property. There were three gold ring events running simultaneously and two of them finished. In total, more than one quarter of a million dollars was awarded over the course of the day.

The biggest winner on the day was Frank Covich. Covich took down Event #2 - $365 No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry late in the evening for $43,860 and his first WSOP Circuit gold ring. More on Covich's victory will be made available Monday. Results from Event #2 can be found on WSOP.com

The other gold ring winner on the day was Robert Cheung. Cheung defeated a field of 124 in Event #3 - $365 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo to snag his first career gold ring and the top prize of $10,416.

The other event running on the day was Event #4 - $365 No-Limit Hold'em. This event began Sunday at 5 p.m with 105 players. By night's end, only 12 players are remaining and they will all come back tomorrow guaranteed a cash of at least $658. Day 2 begins Monday at 2 p.m.
