FRIDAY AT THE PLANET HOLLYWOOD CIRCUIT

Friday saw the third and fourth starting flights of Event #1: $580 No-Limit Hold'em re-entry at the Planet Hollywood Circuit. Flight C drew 154 entries, and Flight D drew another 243. Thus far, there have been 652 entries across four flights, and there are another two starting flights on Saturday.

Cody Slaubaugh finished atop Flight D with 231,400 in chips, and he is now the overall leader. Out of the four flights so far, there are 97 players advancing to Day 2.

Also today, the first charity event of the series was held.

Jennifer Harman--a recent inductee to the Poker Hall of Fame--hosts a charity event to benefit the Nevada SPCA. It starts at 6:30 p.m., features a $200 buyin with rebuys, and and the winner will receive a 2016 WSOP Main Event seat. Click the pics below for more info.

The fifth and sixth flights of Event #1: $580 No-Limit Hold'em re-entry begins begin. Here's the key info.

  • Flight E begins at 10 a.m.
  • Flight F begins at 2 p.m.
  • There are six flights total. The first four were held Thursday and Friday.
  • Advancing players return on Sunday at 2pm for Day 2.
  • Players start with 12,000 in tournament chips.
  • Blinds start at 25/50
  • Late registration and re-entry are open until the start of Level 9.
  • There will be a 20 minute break after every 2 hours, and there is no dinner break on Day 1.

These flights follow yesterday's Flight A and Flight B, which drew 119 entries and 136 entries respectively. Play was scheduled for 18 levels or until only 12% of the field remained. Both yesterday's flights hit that 12% mark. Flight A was down to 15 players when there was 30:35 remaining in Level 16, and Flight B stopped play even earlier, with 17 players remaining with 8:05 left in Level 15. All remaining flights will also stop at that point.

Second Charity Event of the Series

Saturday evening, Patrick Schwarzenegger hosts the All in for Best Buddies tournament, supporting Best Buddies Nevada. The red carpet begins at 5:30, and the tournament is scheduled to start at 6:30.
