DAY 3 COMES TO A CLOSE IN TAHOE

Day 3 concludes with Bill Davis (pictured) winning Event #3 - $365 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo for his first career gold ring.

Stateline, Nev. (October 31, 2015) --  Bill Davis defeated Iris Kuzu in a heads up battle that lasted just one hand long to win the gold ring in Event #3 - $365 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo. This marked the first WSOP cash for the retired U.S. Navy Chief. Davis scored $9,989 for his victory while Kuzu had to settle for the second place money of $6,174. All-time leader in Circuit cashes, Doug "Rico" Carli, finished in 8th place to mark his 96th career Circuit cash. A full report on Davis' victory will be made available tomorrow.

The other gold event running on the day was Flight C of Event #2 - $365 No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry. Flight C began at 11 a.m and ended after 15 levels of play. Cary Marshall was able to collect the most chips throughout the day and was able to pass Shawn Van Asdale, who held the chip lead entering the day. The 41 Flight C survivors are joining the 45 Day 1 survivors from Flight's A and B tomorrow at noon for Day 2 of the tournament.
