Baltimore, MD (August 18, 2015) -- Just a few months after a successful debut at Horseshoe Baltimore, the World Series of Poker Circuit returns to Maryland's newest casino for the second stop of the 2015-16 season. The first of 12 ring events begins Thursday, and the festival culminates with the final table of the $500,000 Guaranteed Main Event on August 31.

Last season's $1,675 Main Event drew 670 entries, generating a prizepool of more than $1 million. Circuit standouts Steve Karp and Roland Israelashvili both made the final table, but New Jersey native Chris Csik emerged as champion, earning $206,020 and the Main Event ring.

The four-day Main Event is back with the same buy-in this season, alongside a few noteworthy additions. The first four events each carry a buy-in of $365, but Event #2 is a re-entry event boasting a $350,000 gurantee. The opening weekend is filled with hold’em, but a pair of Omaha events kick off the first full week of action at Horseshoe Baltimore. Monday’s afternoon event is a $365 Pot-Limit Omaha event, and the Circuit’s first-ever Big O event (five-card pot-limit Omaha hi/lo) starts on Tuesday. If you're seeking extra value in hold'em, Wednesday's Event #8 is a $365 Mega Stack event with a 2016 WSOP Main Event seat added to the prizepool.
