HORSESHOE CINCINNATI HOSTS FIRST OHIO WSOP CIRCUIT
Cincinnati, OH (September 15, 2013) —The Midwest is abuzz with anticipation for what’s projected to be one of the World Series of Poker Circuit’s most successful stops. The state of Ohio and Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati host the country’s premier tournament circuit beginning September 19 and running through September 30.

The 12-day schedule truly is a festival of poker with 12 gold rings up for grabs as well as numerous non-ring events, nightly tournaments and Main Event satellites running daily.

Opening weekend kicks off with a three-starting flight $365 No-Limit Hold’em Re-Entry tournament that looks to set the bar for attendance right out of the gate. Other ring events include a $580 No-Limit Hold’em Six-Handed tournament that begins Tuesday, September 24 as well as $580 Pot-Limit Omaha Triple Chance tournament that begins that same day.

Horseshoe Cincinnati and the Ohio-area players are most excited for their premiere event, the $1,675 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event, which begins Friday, September 27. The property expects to award 200 seats to this prestigious tournament via on-site promotions.

Dating all the way back to July, a Main Event seat has been added to the prize pool in each of Horseshoe Cincinnati’s daily tournaments. On top of that, the property is running a high-card promotion in their cash game room where they award a Main Event seat six times daily. This one-of-a-kind promotion began September 1 and runs through September 18.

Additionally, all nightly $130 No-Limit Hold’em tournaments leading up to the Main Event have two seats added. On top of these promotions, Horseshoe Cincinnati is running numerous satellites to allow players to earn their way into this first-time event.

  • Thursday, September 26 at 3 p.m. - $150 Super Satellite with $100 re-buys
  • Thursday, September 26 at 6 p.m. - $255 Mega Satellite
  • Thursday, September 26 at 9 p.m. - $150 Super Satellite with $100 re-buys
  • Friday, September 27 at 10 a.m. - $250 Turbo Mega Satellite
  • Friday, September 27 at 5 p.m. - $255 Mega Satellite
  • Friday, September 27 at 9 p.m. - $150 Super Satellite with $100 re-buys
  • Saturday, September 28 at 10 a.m. - $255 Turbo Mega Satellite
  • These satellites run in addition to the on-site promotions
