Vladimir Shchemelev's World Series of Poker resume got a serious upgrade in Event 46, a $3,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Low tournament. The 40-year-old resident of St. Petersburg, Russia outlasted a stacked field to win his first bracelet along with $279,094.

Sure, this marks Shchemelev's first victory, but don't let that fool you. In 2010, he carded a runner-up finish in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship and  seventh-place finishes in the $10,000 Seven Card Stud and $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Low events. He most recently finished eighth in the $5,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Low just a few weeks ago, but it wasn't until Friday morning he earned his first bracelet.

In addition to the bracelet and prizes, Shchemelev became the 27th player to make multiple final table appearances at the 2013 WSOP. He outlasted two-time bracelet Mel Judah heads-up. Judah came up short of bracelet number three, but walked with $172,361.

WSOP Circuit standout Ashly Butler held court for the Circuit grinders, continuing their solid play with a third- place finish.

This $3,000 Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Low tournament drew 435 players and generated a prize pool of $1,187,550. The top 45 finishers each earned a payday of at least $5,617. Some notables who made the money, but missed out on the final table were Mike Matusow (39th), Gavin Smith (32nd), Amnon Filippi (24th), Joe Hachem (20th), and Stephen Chidwick (14th).

The final table featured three gold bracelet winners in Judah, “Miami” John Cernuto (5th) and Allyn Jaffrey Shulman (8th), who is now the fifth woman this summer to final table a WSOP bracelet event.

Here are the final table results from the $3,000 Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Low event:
