With just over one million chips, Brent Roberts will be the chip leader going into the final day of the championship event of the WSOP Circuit tour at Harrah's Resort Atlantic City. Roberts is a pro from Staten Island, New York whose two top cashes are $151,570 for finishing fifth in a WSOP $1,500 no-limit event and $111,282 for winning a $1,000 Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza tournament. Way down at the bottom with less than two big blinds will be Rafael Camejo with 27,000.
Action will resume at 2 p.m. with blinds of 8,000-16,000 and 2,000 antes.
Day-one chip leader Bill Gazes finished out of the money in 24th place right after he lost virtually all his chips to a set in a huge pot. As this event started getting down to the final table, one of the most successful players on the Circuit tour, Chris Reslock, went out in 15th place. Reslock has wins in championship Circuit events here and at Tunica, along with a WSOP bracelet in $5,000 seven-card stud. The action speeded up, and it was only 7:30 when the last remaining woman, Joanne Monteavaro, went out in 11th place, and the last table of 10 players got commenced. The pace now slowed considerably and it took 45 mnutes to get down to the official nine after Roberts flopped a flush to knock out Michael Walls.
