WSOP GOLD BRACELET WINNER
EVENT #5 – TOM SCHNEIDER

Tom Schneider is a 47-year old author-radio show host-poker player from Scottsdale, Arizona. He is originally from Indianapolis. Before taking up a poker career, Schneider was a certified public accountant. Later, he owned a golf supply company. However, he now plays at very high limits in cash games and uses poker as a means to make a very good living.

Schneider’s normal game is $400-800 mixed – which means he must play all forms of poker well. The $400-800 level (and up) is typically considered to be the benchmark for “world class” status amongst players.

This was Schneider’s third time to make it to a WSOP final table. His previous finishes include a fourth and fifth. First place in this event paid $214,387 – and the coveted WSOP gold bracelet designed and manufactured by luxury Swiss watchmaker Corum.

Schneider is also a writer and broadcaster. He is the author of a poker book called, “Oops! I Won Too Much Money.” He hosts a regular radio show in the Phoenix area called “Beyond the Table.”

He is married to his wife Julie, who was with him at his crowning poker moment. They have three daughters – Lindsay, Taylor, and Jessilyn.
