Details and Limitations
- 2026 P.O.Y. will include all open live bracelet events from the 2026 WSOP Europe in Prague, the 2026 WSOP at Paris Las Vegas and Horseshoe Las Vegas and the 2026 WSOP Paradise in the Bahamas.
- Only the player’s top 15 scores will count toward the leaderboard.
- Players eliminated in the same round (e.g., fifth through eighth place in a heads-up event, or all players eliminated on Day 2 of a shootout) will receive the same number of points. The points awarded for those positions will be the average of what those places would earn in a standard event.
- Some events (e.g., The Closer) allow players to cash multiple times. However, each player will only earn P.O.Y. points once per event, based on their final overall finishing position.
- Non-open events and online bracelet events do not count toward Player of the Year standings. This includes events such as Industry Employees, Seniors, Super Seniors, Tag Team, and Ladies. This list is not exhaustive, and additional events may be excluded.
