SOUTHERN INDIANA CAPS OFF 2022-2023 CIRCUIT SEASON

Elizabeth, Indiana (18 May 2023) - The World Series of Poker Circuit concludes its 2022-23 season with the last stop before the summer in Vegas with a return to Southern Indiana for the first time since 2020. The final stop of the season is currently held at the pristine Ceaser's Southern Indiana Hotel & Casino in Elizabeth, Indiana. A total of 15 gold rings will be awarded between May 11-22 during the series. 

Thus far, five circuit ring winners have been confirmed through the early events of the series with the results of the three more pending soon.

This May Southern Indiana stop started with Event #1: $400 No-Limit Hold'em. It gathered 286 entries for a prizepool of $91,250. The winner was a circuit regular in Charlie Dawson of Kentucky who took down his fourth career ring, with his last one coming the last time the circuit was in Southern Indiana in early 2020.

The largest event of the series thus far was Event #2: $400 No-Limit Hold'em, which was a multi flight event that got 801 entries and a nice prizepool of $256,320. William Davis got his first ring with the title and the $45,082 ultimate prize. 

Event #3: $200 No-Limit Hold'em Mega Stack was won by Vladimir Sarnatekii who beat the 384 entries for the $19,080 prize and his first ring as he denied Patricia Till what would have been her third career ring in the heads-up battle.

Wesley Thompson won Event #4: $300 No-Limit Hold'Em  for not only his ring, bot record his first WSOP cash in the process. 

The most recent ring given out was in Event #5: $600 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed which was won by Bradley Butcher for over $20,000 and his first ring.

Event #1: $400 No-Limit Hold'em - Charlie Dawson ($20,233)

Event #5: $600 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed - Bradley Butcher - ($20,885)

The $1,700 buy-in Main Event is the premier event of the series and will be made up of three starting days beginning on Friday May 19. Day 2 will be Sunday May 21 and will be made up of the survivors from Days 1a and 1b.
