SUNDAY AT THE PLANET HOLLYWOOD CIRCUIT

There are three events on the schedule today at the Planet Hollywood Circuit. The first ring of the series will likely be awarded, and two new ring events begin.

Important Reminder: The Las Vegas Marathon is being held on Sunday. Several road closures will affect traffic on and around the strip, so please plan accordingly. More information is available on the LV Marathon website.

RESTARTS:

Event #1: $580 No-Limit Hold'em re-entry (Day 2)

  • Day 2 begins at 2:00 p.m.
  • Play resumes with 8:05 remaining in Level 15 (blinds 1,200/2,400 with a 400 ante).
  • The event is scheduled to play until there is a winner, which likely won't occur until early Monday morning.
  • The six starting flights attracted a total of 1,162 entries, generating a prize pool of $581,000.
  • The top 117 player will be paid. A min-cash is worth $953, and the winner will earn $106,030.

The chip leader heading into Day 2 is Cody Slaubaugh, who returns with 231,400. Other players returning to the felt for Day 2 include 2001 WSOP Main Event champion Carlos Mortensen and 2008 November Niner Dennis Phillips (pictured above).

NEW EVENTS:

Event #4: $365 No-Limit Hold'em begins at noon.

  • Players start with 10,000 in tournament chips
  • Blinds start at 25/50
  • Late registration is open until the start of Level 9.
  • Day 1 is scheduled to play 21 levels. Levels 1-12 are 30 minutes. Levels 12-21 are 40 minutes.
  • There is a 20-minute break after every two hours, with a 60-minute dinner break after Level 12.
  • Day 2 begins Monday at 2:00 p.m.

Event #5: $365 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo starts at 4:00 p.m.

  • Players start with 10,000 in tournament chips
  • Blinds start at 25/50
  • Late registration is open until the start of Level 9.
  • Levels are 20 minutes in length
  • This is scheduled as a one-day event.
  • There is a 20-minute break after every two hours, with a 60-minute dinner break after Level 12.
