DJ Roonie G wins his second career WSOP Circuit gold ring.
West Palm Beach, Fla. (November 21, 2016) -- Roongsak Griffeth has just won his second career gold ring by winning Event #11: $365 No-Limit Hold'em at the Palm Beach Kennel Club. He defeated 73 players to earn $7,446.
Griffeth won his first ring about a year ago at Harrah's Cherokee. There he defeated 358 players in a $580 no-limit hold'em event to win $41k.
"It wasn't as good as the first one, but it's pretty close," said Griffeth on winning his second gold ring. "Not to take away from it, but I guess the first time was just a really big accomplishment."
Griffeth said that since winning his first gold ring he has improved his patience and awareness at the table. Those two factors help him today with winning his second ring.
Griffeth is a DJ from Columbus, Georgia. He owns two night clubs in the Columbus area and is opening a third club two weeks from now. The new club he is opening is called "The Sound Factory". It will be a restaurant, karaoke bar, pool hall and night club.
"I still travel a lot. I DJ all across the country. I do lot of big club events and corporate events," said Griffeth.
Griffeth has spent many nights DJing in Las Vegas, L.A. and the rest of the world, but has always made Columbus his home.
The next stop on the Circuit is in Cherokee, North Carolina and is thinking about going to play a few events. With the new club opening soon he has still not made a decision or not if he will attend. Attending Cherokee or not, Griffeth said he will be back on the Circuit at some point trying to get a third gold ring.
