Jack Ellwood has been very quiet so far, but with his stack (hovering around 150k) he can't afford to get to frisky without the goods.
When he entered the fray he had mixed results:
- The action folded to him on the button and he raised to 9,000 only to fold when Michel Dattani three-bet from the small blind.
- He tried again the next hand and manged to take the blinds.
- Two hands later he raised to 9,000 from under-the-gun and picked up three callers. The flop came down . It was checked around to Philippe Boucher on the button who bet 20,500. Ellwood and the other two players folded.

From the under the gun position Alexander Dovzhenko just raised to 9,000 getting called only by Nicolas Fierro who was in the small blind. The flop came down and Fierro decided to lead out for a pot sized bet which was 22,000. Dovzhenko didn't hesitate and announced "pot," putting in 88,000 chips. Fierro stared at his cards for well over a minute before making the call. Dovzhenko had 97,000 chips behind.
The turn was the and Fierro took another minute to recheck his cards and come up with a check. Dovzhenko checked behind immediately. The river card was the and this time Fierro checked rather quickly. Dovzhenko announced he was all-in and Fierro folded his cards.
"Show please?" Fierro asked Dovzhenko who smiled and turned over for just a pair of tens. Dovzhenko didn't come to this final table to fold and he makes sure the rest of the table knows he's not afraid to put his chips in.
Alexander Dovzhenko | 285,000 | 40,000 |
Nicolas Fierro | 250,000 | -99,000 |
