WSOPE Event #5: €550 No-Limit Hold'em Colossus

Michal Schuh raised to 600,000 under the gun. Tomas Krivsky then committed his 3,425,000 chips in the small blind. Schuh asked for a count but called midway through the process.

Both players paired on the     flop, but the   turn left Schuh drawing dead. The   river could not change anything as Krivsky survived the final table bubble with his trips.

Vito Branciforte shoved for 2,490,000 from under the gun and Georgios Tsouloftas called on the button.

Branciforte was way behind and looked likely to be the final table bubble boy, especially after the     flop. However, the   turn improved him to a set and left him one card away from a double-up.

The   on the river changed nothing, and Tsouloftas had to fork out a portion of his stack.

Georgios Tsouloftas limped in from the small blind with    and Andrea Ricci checked the big blind holding   .

On the     flop, Tsouloftas bet 300,000, and Ricci called, then they both checked the 6d] turn.

A   dropped on the river where Tsouloftas bet 325,000, and Ricci raised to 900,000. Tsouloftas thought for a short time then folder his two pair.

Genc Shabani had stuck his last half a big blind into the pot and both Michal Schuh and Mousa Awad had seen a flop.

The full board came       and at showdown, Awad showed    for a straight. Schuh flashed a   for trips, but Shabani couldn't beat either which meant his tournament run came to an end.

Mousa Awad raised to 500,000 under the gun and Michal Schuh called in the hijack. Genc Shabani then jammed all in for roughly 3,000,000 on the button.

The blinds quickly folded before Awad called all-in 2,925,000. Schuh got out of the way and the cards were tabled.

The       runout brought no surprises, doubling up Awad to a stack of more than 20 big blinds.

Shabani meanwhile, was left with less than half a blind to try and spin up.

Georgios Tsouloftas limped in from the small blind before Andrea Ricci made it 750,000 to go in the big blind. Tsouloftas then jammed all in and Ricci called off his stack of 5,185,000.

Ricci flopped two pair on     and Tsouloftas could not catch up on the    runout. Ricci raked in his double-up and ended up with a stack of eight figures.

Tomas Krivsky moved all in from the button for 1,745,000 and Mousa Awad called out of the big blind.

It looked to be the end of the road for Krivsky but the       runout gave him a pair of jacks, which kept him alive.

Valentin Schramm jammed all in for 1,050,000 in the cutoff. "You're a lucky guy," Paul Runcan in the big blind claimed before he made the call to put Schramm at risk.

The     flop gave Runcan a gutshot and the   turn upgraded him to an open-ender. However, it turned out that Schramm would be indeed lucky as he paired up on the   river to rake in the double-up to ten big blinds.

Hong Pham opened to 425,000 from under the gun and Pascal Pflock called on the button.

They saw a flop of     where Pham checked, Pflock bet 300,000, and Pham called.

A   dropped on the turn which Pham checked again, and Pflock fired 600,000. Pham shoved, and Pflock called off his remaining 1,200,000 he had behind.

A sick cooler but Pflock still had outs to an ace or a diamond. Pham's stack was on the verge of being near ten million but an   on the river gave Pflcok a bigger set, which kept him alive.

Paul Runcan, the chipleader of the table, jammed all in from under the gun, prompting the entire table to fold. On the next deal, Runcan got a walk in the big blind.

The next hand, it was folded to Runcan again, and he open-shoved his small blind. Genc Shabani spent several time bank extensions before putting in a call for his stack of 1,475,000.

Runcan flopped some extra outs on    , but the   turn made Shabani top pair to take away Runcan's pair opportunites.

The table was audibly rooting for a seven on the river, but the   came instead. Runcan missed his straight draw and Shabani doubled up to 15 big blinds.
