Eychenne Picks Off Duczak's Bluff

Aaron Duczak raised the button to 25,000 and Thomas Eychenne called out of the big blind.

Eychenne check-called a bet of 40,000 from Duczak on the     flop.

The   turn got checked through for the   to come on the river. Eychenne checked, Duczak bet 125,000, and after doing a bit of inventory Eychenne said "I don't think I can fold this" before making the call.

Duczak said "nine-high" and Eychenne turned over      for the winner with two pair, aces and fives.

Eljach Shoves on Yankov; Weiss Takes Out Cruz

Krasimir Yankov raised to 28,000 under the gun and Konstantyn Holskyi called in the hijack. Omar Eljach then three-bet to 121,000 in the small blind and only Yankov called.

Eljach bet 50,000 on the     flop and Yankov called. Eljach then bet 100,000 on the   turn and Yankov again called.

The river was the   and Eljach moved all in. Yankov, with around 330,000 remaining, burned through three time banks before folding.

"Show two cards," Jonas Kronwitter said to Eljach, who shook his head and returned his cards face down as he took in the pot. "I had an ace. I'm just kidding, I didn't have an ace," Kronwitter added.

At another table, Andre Filip Cruz was eliminated when he ran      into Dennis Weiss'      on a board of       as Weiss made a full house to send Cruz to the rail.

Mortensen Holds With Top Set For a Massive Double

Heads-up on a flop of    , Sebastian Mortensen bet 22,000 from the cutoff before Arturo Paduano raised to 160,000 in the big blind. Mortensen then moved all in for 614,000 and Paduano called.

Wing Po Liu opened to 20,000 from early position and Oleksii Kovalchuk called from the small blind. Eran Carmi then potted to 80,000 from the big blind with 18,000 behind, which only Liu called.

Defending Champ Wing Po Liu Among 38 Returning to Play Down to a Winner on Day 2 of Event #6: €5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha

Wing Po Liu admitted he had hardly played Pot-Limit Omaha before last year, but the defending champion is back with another shot at the title when Day 2 of Event #6: €5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha begins at 1 p.m. local time.

Liu, who prevailed over a 202-player field to win his first World Series of Poker bracelet in this event last year, sits in 10th place on the leaderboard entering the day with 505,000. Krasimir Yankov leads the 38 remaining players as the Bulgarian takes 876,000 into the day, while Amir Mozaffarian (861,000), Arturo Paduano (815,000), Dennis Weiss (754,000), and Krzysztof Magott (717,000) round out the top five.

A total of 141 players entered the tournament by the time late registration closed, creating a prize pool of €629,565. The top 22 players earn at least a min-cash of €10,506, while the champion takes home €159,897 and the WSOP gold bracelet.

The action on Day 2 picks up on Level 15 with blinds of 4,000-8,000 and an 8,000 big blind ante. Levels are once again 40 minutes long, with a break coming after every three levels. The plan is to play down to a champion today, and with the average stack worth 46 big blinds at the start of the day, there is still plenty of room for maneuvering yourself into a run at the title.
