Alex Foxen opened to 120,000 from the hijack and Tom-Aksel Bedell defended from the big blind.

The flop came     and Bedell check-callled an 80,000 continuation bet from Foxen.

Both players checked the   turn leading to the   river. Bedell checked once more and Foxen bet 145,000. Bedell made the call.

The flop came    . PIchierri checked, Bedell bet 80,000 and Pichierri called with his gutshot.

Pichierri Sends Off Blom

Viktor Blom

Viktor Blom opened to 120,000 from under the gun and Alessandro Pichierri three-bet to 265,000 from the cutoff. Blom four-bet shoved for 1,050,000 and PIchierri called with a covering stack to put Blom at risk.

Blom was crushed by Pichierri's aces and couldn't catch up on the       runout, resulting in his elimination two spots away from the money while PIchierri dragged in a colossal pot.

Bedell Turns the Nuts

Viktor Blom    opened to 120,000 from the cutoff. Tom-Aksel Bedell    and Leon Tsoukernik    called from the blinds.

Blom continued for 140,000 on the     flop and was called in both spots.

Atac Turns a Straight to Bust Kisacikoglu

Salih Atac raised from the cutoff and called when Orpen Kisacikoglu moved all in for 465,000 from the button.

Kisacikoglu remained ahead following the     flop but needed to dodge the deck as Atac had a double-gutter to accompany his overcards. The   turn gave Atic a queen-high straight to leave Kisacikoglu drawing to a chop. The   river provided no help to the at-risk player, and Kisacikoglu became the first final-table casualty.

Bedell Wakes Up with Aces

Samuel Ju    raised to 110,000 from middle positon. Tom-Aksel Bedell    set the trap and just called with his rockets.

The     flop checked through to the   turn, and Ju bet 150,000. Bedell called.

On the   river, Ju slowed down and checked. He then folded to Bedell's bet of 360,000.

The flop, turn and river checked through to showdown and Ju took in the pot as his pocket tens remained best following the       runout.

Blom Gets Away From Top Pair

Alex Foxen    opened to 100,000 from under the gun and was called by Viktor Blom    and Alessandro Pichierri    from the hijack and big blind.

The     flop gave Foxen top two pair, while Blom had a pair of kings. Foxen continued for 150,000, and Blom called before Pichierri released his hand.

The   turn left Blom drawing dead. Foxen bet 540,000 and was called.

With 1,800,000 in the pot, the board completed with the   river. Foxen sized up to 1,285,000. Blom had 1,700,000 behind, and he correctly folded his top pair as Foxen continued to extend his lead.

Ju Bluffs Bedell

Action folded to Samuel Ju    in the small blind and he raised to 175,000. Tom-Aksel Bedell    called from the big blind.

Neither player connected on the     flop, but Ju bet 200,000 which was called.

The   turn paired the board and checked through to the   river, giving Bedell the checkmark. Ju fired out another 225,000, sending Bedell into the tank. He used up a time bank before folding the better hand.

Ryan Feldman, co-owner of Hustler Casino Live, revealed on PokerNews' Life Outside Poker podcast that he was kicked out of the 2016 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event over a conflict of interest stemming from his employment at ESPN.

In the 16th episode of the podcast, host Connor Richards speaks with the producer/founder of the most popular livestream in poker history about why he was booted from poker's biggest tournament, along with numerous other topics such as sports journalism, interviewing star athletes, leaving ESPN to start a poker stream, founding HCL and putting together some of the most entertaining lineups in poker history.

This interview was filmed in July at the 2024 WSOP inside Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.
