Karpov Puts Miniucchi to the Test

Marcello Minucchi bet 9,000 from under the gun and was called by Glib Karpov in the hijack and Zlatin Penev in the big blind.

The flop came     and Miniucchi bet 11,000. He was immediately met by a raise from Karpov to 27,000 which garnered a quick fold from Penev and Miniucchi took a minute before calling.

The   came on the turn and Karpov bet 38,000 which put Miniucchi deep into the tank. After nearly three minutes the Italian opted to fold and Karpov dragged in a decent pot.

Bittger Doubles; Balic Rises

Stefan Bittger

Ramo Balic check-called a bet of 13,000 by Jonathan Pastore on the     before they checked the   turn. Balic then jammed the   river and Pastore tank-folded.

Soon after that two tables over, Frederik Thiemer went to war with Stefan Bittger as the latter was all-in with an overpair on the     flop. He had the    and Thiemer flipped over the    for an open-ended straight draw.

Nothing changed with the   turn and Bittger stayed ahead with the   river.

Tomovic Doubles Through Wilke

The pace of eliminations has slowed down but the all-in showdowns keep on coming.

Basdeo Falls Short of the Money

Ramlal Basdeo moved all in from the button for 6,500 and was called by Yehuda Cohen in the small blind and Ruslan Volkov in the big blind.

The flop of     saw Cohen flick in a 5,000 chip and was quickly called by Volkov. The   double-paired the board and Cohen bet 5,000 again. Volkov opted to make a raise to 15,000 which got a snap fold from Cohen.

Falkovsky Takes a Nibble Out of Tsai

Igor Falkovsky bet 8,000 from under the gun and was called by Ting-Yi Tsai in the hijack.

The flop came     and Falkovsky bet 6,000 and was called by Tsai. Both players checked the   turn, but Falkovsky bet 15,000 on the   river, and Tsai threw his cards into the muck before Falkovsky's chips could settle on the felt.

Gehrmann Doesn't Fire the River

Dan Maricuta had checked the       river out of the small blind and that sent Michael Gehrmann on the button in the tank. There were around 80,000 in the middle and Gehrmann had fewer than that behind.

Eventually, Gehrmann checked and Maricuta tabled the    for queens and deuces. Gehrmann mucked and Maricuta mentioned "I would have called the shove" to which his opponent nodded.

All the chips went into the middle preflop with the under-the-gun Refael Dahan at risk for 105,500. He was up against Ramo Balic on the button who barely covered Dahan.

Sergiu Covrig bet 7,000 from the hijack and was called by Matthew Davenport on the button.

Timo Kamphues raised it up to 32,000 from the small blind and was met with a bet of 76,000 from Sergiu Covrig. Davenport got out of the way and Kamphues moved all in and was called by the Romanian for 160,500.
