Boatman Wins a Small One

Virgile Turchi had to forfeit his big blind when facing a small blind shove, then got a shove through himself.

Soon after on the same table, Christian Schneider min-raised to 100,000. Barny Boatman three-bet to 175,000 and Schneider folded, getting shown the   by Boatman.

The action on both tables has grinded to a stand-still without any major action after the break so far.

Ufano Takes It on the Turn

Artsiom Panasiuk raised it up to 100,000 in the cutoff and was called only by Jorge Ufano in the big blind.

Ufano fiddled around with his chips on the     flop before leading for 75,000, which Panasiuk called.

The   turn paired the board and Ufano took another two minutes before he bet for 240,000, Panasiuk folded.

Shawn Sheikhan Sentenced to Four Years in Prison for Illegal Cannabis Business

Shahram "Shawn" Sheikhan, who pled guilty in 2022 to conspiracy to distribute marijuana, a federal crime, was sentenced to four years in federal prison on Friday morning in the United States District Court Southern District of California.

The veteran poker player who infamously feuded with Mike Matusow during the 2005 World Series of Poker (WSOP) television broadcast, had faced a maximum sentence of 40 years in federal prison and a $5 million fine.

Last month, his attorneys filed a memorandum with the court asking for prison time to be replaced with probation and community service. Poker Hall of Famer and PokerGO President Mori Eskandani, among others, wrote a letter of support on his behalf.

Schneider Gets a Double From Marjanovic

Adem Marjanovic bet 80,000 from under the gun and was called by Christian Schneider in the small blind and Barny Boatman in the big blind.

The flop came     and Marjanovic bet 215,000. Schneider responded with a check-jam which got Boatman to fold, but Marjanovic called.

Barny Boatman was all-in and at risk with the   , up against the    of Christian Schneider.

On a board of      , Boatman pulled a rabbit out of the hat to stay in contention.

Shortly after, Daniel Koloszar defended the big blind against a button raise by Rafi Elharar and check-called the     flop for 55,000. He did so again albeit for 250,000 on the   turn and that brought them to the   river.

Florian Kraft and Rafi Elharar got into a tussle again, this time Kraft moved all in from the button for 275,000 and Elharar called from the big blind.

Ufano Gets Some Back From Koloszar

On the      turn, Jorge Ufano bet 150,000 in the cutoff and Daniel Koloszar called on the button.

The   fell on the river and Ufano took a while to act, after which Rafi Elharar called the clock on him. Thirty seconds of extra time were given and Ufano then checked, Koloszar checked it back.

Ufano tabled the winner in    to earn back some chips.

"Nothing personal, but you take ten minutes every hand. There are fifteen players left and not just you," Elharar mentioned in table chat.

Daniel Koloszar opened the action with a button raise to 60,000 and Florian Kraft three-bet to 225,000 in the small blind, earning a call from Koloszar.

Barny Boatman open-jammed the last 215,000 and Renji Mao looked him up from one seat over, everyone else folded.

With 600,000 in the middle at the turn with the board showing     , Jorge Ufano bet 230,000 from the big blind. After about three minutes Zlatin Penev made the call.

The   completed the board to make it double-paired. Ufano took four minutes to decide to move all in. Penev went deep into the tank and stared at Ufano throughout his thought process.

Eventually, Penev made the call and it was bad news. Ufano turned over    for a boat which was better than his   . The Bulgarian headed straight to the cash desk while Ufano dragged in a monster pot.
