With only a couple of seconds to spare Giudice moved all in for 56,000 and was snap-called by Back.

Giovanni Giudice:
Chris Back:

Giudice was disgusted that he was a victim to a set over set on the flop. That misery was soon transformed to joy as the case   hit on the turn and the anguish was on Back's face instead.

Tomovic's king-high flush was demolishing Kashi's overpair, with Kashi only having two outs if he wanted to continue on.

Players are now on their second 15-minute break of the day and will play five more levels in the first of two Day 1 flights.

Players will be on a 90-minute dinner break at the conclusion of Level 4.

Recently-crowned two-time WSOP Europe bracelet winner Emil Bise sat down in Level 2 and has already added a decent amount to his starting stack.

Julien Sitbon and Giorgio Montebelli have also fared well over the course of the first two levels of the day.

Matthias Kribben, who was one of the biggest Day 1 stacks at the 2022 WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas, is already off to a flying start today, having more than doubled his starting stack in the first three hours of play.

With 386 players already registered for today alone, it appears that the field will absolutely smash the €5,000,000 guarantee and could potentially break last year's record-field of 688 entrants.

Kribben, who's off to a blazing start, knows a thing or two about stacking chips at the Main Event, as he finished Day 1b second in chips at this past summer's WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas.
