Doug Lee (pictured) was the chip leader on the final table of Event #7, however Barny Boatman won the tournament and grabbed his second gold bracelet.
Lee has just registered for the Main Event, and he draws a seat right next to Boatman. "Can you believe they sat me next to him?" Lee asks.
"Just when I thought the day could not get any better," Boatman answers, "Santa sent me a present."
Boatman folds the next hand and then walks over to report about an earlier hand that he lost. He raised with pocket queens and found three callers before the big blind three-bet. Boatman called to proceed heads up. On the board, Boatman loses about 4,000 chips as his opponent had for trip kings.

The €10,000 + 450 Main Event is about to start with Day 1B. Action will begin at noon with a starting stack of 30,000 chips and blind levels of 90 minutes apiece. The players who survive Day 1 will come back tomorrow at noon again for another six levels and play will continue until Day 5, where a winner will be determined.
After each level there is a 20 minute break and a scheduled dinner break of 90 minutes takes place after the end of level four. Among those to be expected at the tables are the likes of Stephen Chidwick and the Player of the Year contenders Brian Hastings and Mike Gorodinsky along with plenty of other notables.
