The action folds around to Stephen Chidwick in the small blind and he moves all in. Marvin Rettenmaier calls all in for 86,000 in the big blind, and they turn over their cards:

The board runs out       and Rettenmaier doubles. He is now not too far away from Chidwick in the counts.

Stephen Chidwick opens to 14,000 from the hijack and gets called by Ricardo Alvarado on the button and Frederic Schwarzer in the small blind. On the      flop, Schwarzer and Chidwick check, and Alvarado bets 21,000. Both opponents call.

On the   turn, Alvarado bets 61,000. None of the opponents call this time, and Alvarado takes the pot.

One hand later, Alvarado opens to 13,000 and gets called by Chidwick in the big blind. The     flop is checked by Chidwick, and Alvarado bets 16,000 to win another pot without showdown.

The action folds around to Ricardo Alvarado and he limps in from the small blind, Frederic Schwarzer checks in the big blind. Both players check the     flop and the   turn. The   river is also checked by Alvarado and Schwarzer bets 6,000 to win the pot without showdown.

Paul Michaelis opens to 13,000 and Makarios Avramidis three-bets to 34,000 from one seat over, enforcing a fold from all his opponents including Michaelis.

One hand later, Avramidis opens to 16,000 from the cutoff and just Stephen Chidwick calls on the button. Both players check down the board       entirely. Avramidis shows    for aces and jacks to win the pot.

In the second hand back in action, Paul Michaelis raises to 16,000 from the small blind and gets called by Makarios Avramidis from one seat over. On the     flop, Michaelis continues for 18,000 and Avramidis min-clicks to 36,000. Michaelis calls and they see the   on the turn. Michaelis checks and Avramidis bets 40,000, sliding forward two stacks with very shaky hands.

That was for almost one third of his remaining stack and Michaelis elects to fold.

The first golden bracelet on German soil will be awarded in today's final table of the €2,200 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold'em Event #1 at the Spielbank Berlin, and three players from Germany have made it to the final six. Leading the field is Paul Michaelis with 670,000 and one third of the chips in play. He also won the $1,500 Pot Limit Hold'em Event #8 in Las Vegas this summer, defeating a field of 639 entries and taking home $189,818.

Michaelis is joined by fellow Germans Frederic Schwarzer (242,000) and Marvin Rettenmaier (90,000). They will face stiff competition from Stephen Chidwick (354,000) and Ricardo Alvarado (435,000), as well as Makarios Avramidis (179,000) from Greece. Cards will go in the air in two hours from now at 12 p.m. local time with 25:57 left in Level 19 at blinds 3,000/6,000 with a running ante of 1,000. The action will be live streamed via Twitch for the first time ever for a live WSOP event.
