Le Doubles Up

Former chipleader Hieu Le, recently down to 15 big blinds, is back in business with an average stack.

A player on the button raised to 5,000, and Le shoved for 30,000 from the small blind. The button tanked for two minutes before calling off most of his stack with   . He wasn't far behind Le's   , but a     flop brought nothing for him. A   on the turn and   on the river did the same.

Small Takes Chiplead

Van Vo opened to 5,500 from the hijack. Sean Small reraised to 9,000 from the big blind, and Vo made the call. Small checked the     flop, Vo bet 9,000, and Small called. The turn put trips on the board with the  , and Small once again allowed Vo to take the lead. Vo obliged with an all-in bet, and Small insta-called, tabling   . Vo was in awful shape with   , and needed the last four in the deck for a chop. It wasn't to be, and Small took a commanding chip lead in the tournament.

The players have now broken down to five tables and will soon be racing off black chips.

Small Sends Barajas Out

Francisco Barajas raised to 7,000 from the cutoff. Sean Small made it 15,000 from the big blind, and Barajas moved all in after the big blind folded. Small made the call and the players showed their hands:

The     flop put small way in front with a set, but a   turn meant he now had a world of outs to fade. A brick   fell on the river though, and Barajas was eliminated.
