Kwong Charges Ahead

In a blind vs. blind situation, Allan Kwong raised from the small blind to 50,000. Bobby Rooney reraised to 95,000 from the big blind and Kwong called.

Daniel Ellery raised to 40,000 on the button, and Brian Pingel made the call from the big blind. The players took in a flop of    , and both checked. The   fell on the turn. Pingel checked, Ellery bet 65,000, and Pingel moved all in. Ellery called off the rest of his chips without much thought.

Pingel had been caught semi-bluffing, but Ellery could only hang his head after the   hit the river, completing Pingel's backdoor flush draw. Ellery took the beat in stride, shaking Pingel's hand and telling him "nice hand" on his way to the rail.

Allan Kwong opened from the cutoff for 40,000. Bobby Rooney called from the button and Daniel Ellery moved all in for an additional 46,000 from the small blind. Both Kwong and Rooney called.

Holloway Taking Hits

Daniel Ellery raised to 40,000 on the button, and Chad Holloway pushed all in from the small blind. Brian Pingel called off his chips in the big blind, and Ellery folded.

The next hand, everyone folded to Holloway, who made it 35,000 to go on button. Allan Kwong made the call from the big blind. The flop came    . Kwong checked, Holloway bet 31,000, and Kwong called. A   hit the board on the turn, and Kwong checked again. This time, Holloway fired 90,000. Undeterred, Kwong called again. The river brought a  , leading Kwong to check once more.
