We don't know exactly how the action went preflop, but we know some substantial betting took place, because there was around 17,000 in the pot when the dealer spread the     flop. It was here that Forrest checked and his opponent in later position moved all in for 27,325. Forrest gave a mild shrug and pushed his stack in the middle for a call. Cards were then tabled, and it was Forrest who was ahead.

Forrest:
Opponent:

Forrest was well out in front, but anything can happen as you will see. The   on the turn gave Forrest's opponent a flush draw to go along with his king draw. As long as Forrest could avoid these outs then he would shoot up the chip counts and have more than a healthy stack to make a deep run. Indeed a spade did come as the   made its presence known on the river.

Cory Zeidman was all in for about 8,000 with    against an opponent's   .

The flop fell    , giving Zeidman both a broadway draw and flush draw to beat his opponent's pair of aces. Neither the   turn nor   river were any help to Zeidman, though, ending his Main Event.

Jamil Kanji opened to 850 from early position, a player called in middle position, and Erik Audé, who's appeared in movies like Dude Where's My Car and Van Wilder, called near the button.

The dealer fanned    , and Kanji continued for 1,100. The player in middle position called, and Audé raised to 3,100. Both players released, and Audé flashed what appeared to be two nines to our reporter.

Tim Finne just busted a player to move to 45,000 in chips after his pocket tens held up against his opponent's   . The two got the money all in preflop as the board ran out king high with no help to his opponent.

On the     flop, James Mordue was all in for a few thousand with his opponent in the tank. While his opponent was tanking, Mordue turned over one card and showed the   for at least top pair. His opponent tanked for a bit longer, commenting about how he felt he was in really bad shape, but the odds were still pretty good to make the call.

Eventually, the player made the call and Mordue turned over his other card to reveal the   . "Ahhh, you got me in really bad shape," his opponent said before turning over the   .

The turn and river completed the board with the   and   to allow Mordue to double up.

Phil Ivey

Action folded to the player in the hijack seat and he raised to 875. Phil Ivey called on the button and the flop came down    . The hijack seat checked and Ivey bet 1,300. His opponent called.

On the   turn, both players checked to see the   land on the river. After his opponent checked, Ivey bet 4,000. His opponent mulled it over and then called. Ivey showed the    for two pair, tens and nines, and won the pot.

On the next hand, action folded to Ivey in the cutoff seat and he raised to 900. Phil Collins called from the small blind and the flop came down    . Both players checked.

Collins and Ivey also checked the   turn card and   river card. Collins announced ace high, but Ivey showed the    and Collins mucked his hand.

On the next hand after that, Ivey raised to 1,000 from the hijack seat and David Grey called from the big blind to see the flop come down    . Grey checked and Ivey bet 1,200. Grey folded and Ivey took his third in a row.

Thanks to these three back-to-back-to-back pots, Ivey has moved over 20,000 in chips.

Barbero was in bad shape and would receive no help as the board ran out an uneventful      .

Ivan Asenov opened to 1,200 from under the gun, Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy called in the hijack seat, and the rest of the players folded. The dealer fanned    , and Asenov led out for 2,000. Josephy grabbed an orange T5,000 chip and announced, "Forty-eight hundred,"

Asenov tanked for the better part of a minute, then folded the   face up. Bax, who was looking down when Asenov folded, tabled only the  .

"You showed an ace?" he asked Asenov. "I thought I was good."

Joseph Cheong Doubles

Joseph Cheong raised to 1,000 from middle position. Big stack Brandon Adams called from the cutoff and the rest of the table folded.

The flop fell     and Cheong continued with a 1,475 bet. Adams called and the   turned. Cheong fired another bullet making it 3,500 to go. Once again he received a call from Adams.

The board completed with a second pair in the form of the  . Cheong moved all in for his last 16,500. Adams dipped into his stack and came out with a call.

Cheong tabled    and Adam looked at his cards one last time, hoping that they would be able to beat the pocket jacks. Alas, they did not, and he meekly pushed them to the muck.

Adams' massive lost some but is still sitting at a sizable 115,000. Cheong's double put him at 41,000.

Just moments after that last hand Cheong tweeted that he was able to double up again:
