Marco Johnson raised from the small blind, Ronnie Bardah made it three to go from a seat over, and Johnson called.

Johnson also ended up check-calling Bardah's bets after the     flop, the   turn, and the   river. Bardah then tabled   , and scooped the pot.

"American Airlines, baby!" shouted one of the many here cheering on Bardah. With that one he flies up the counts to close the gap a bit with Johnson.

Brent Wheeler - 4th place

Ronnie Bardah opened from the button, then Brent Wheeler three-bet from the small blind, forcing a fold from Vincent Gironda. Bardah asked how much Wheeler had left — not quite three small bets — then four-bet, and Wheeler called.

When the flop came    , Wheeler bet, Bardah raised, and Wheeler called with what he had left. Bardah had    for sevens while Wheeler needed help with   . The turn was the   and river the  , and Wheeler was eliminated.

From the small blind, Vincent Gironda raised. Marco Johnson reraised from the big blind and Gironda called.

The flop came down     and Gironda check-called a bet to see the   fall on the turn. Gironda checked and Johnson bet. Gironda folded and Johnson won the pot.

On the next hand, Gironda raised from the button and Johnson three-bet from the small blind. Gironda called.

The     flop prompted a bet from Johnson. Gironda folded and Johnson won the pot.

Johnson moved into the chip lead with approximately 900,000 in chips. Gironda has slipped back to 560,000.

Sorel Mizzi - 5th place

Ronnie Bardah opened from the cutoff, and when Sorel Mizzi three-bet from the button it left Mizzi with but a single pink (5,000) chip behind. It folded to Vincent Gironda in the big blind who called, and Bardah called as well.

All three checked the     flop. The turn brought the  , and when it checked to Mizzi he tossed out his last chip, with both of his opponents calling. Gironda and Bardah checked down the   river, and the trio opened their hands.

Mizzi winced as he saw Bardah had paired his four on the river to beat his own small pair, then wished all luck as he parted.

After a Ronnie Bardah open from the cutoff, Vincent Gironda defended his big blind, then check-raised Bardah following the     flop. Bardah responded with a three-bet, and Gironda called.

The turn brought the   and Gironda checked. Bardah bet and Gironda called. The river was the  , and again Gironda checked, Bardah bet, and Gironda called.

Bardah turned over    for kings, and Gironda mucked. That one carries Bardah up over a million and back into the chip lead over second-place Gironda.

Brent Wheeler raised from under the gun and action folded to Ronnie Bardah in the small blind. He quickly made it three bets to go and then Sorel Mizzi made the call from the big blind. Wheeler also called and off to a flop they went.

The flop came down     and Bardah led with a bet. Mizzi made the call and Wheeler was right there to go along to the turn with them.

On the   turn, Bardah fired another bet. Mizzi took some time, then folded his hand. Wheeler took roughly the same amount of time, but also folded and Bardah won the pot.

It folded to Vincent Gironda in the cutoff who peered across the table, looking over Hans Minocha sitting in the big blind with a short stack. Gironda raised, then Marco Johnson made it three bets from the button. It folded to Minocha who checked his cards, then decided to reraise himself, a bet that committed his entire stack of 59,000. Both Gironda and Johnson called.

The flop came    . Gironda checked, Johnson bet, and Gironda called. The turn brought a fourth spade, the  , and both players checked. They again checked the   river.

All three players had made flushes. Minocha had   , Gironda had   , and Johnson had the best of the three with    to drag the main pot plus the small side pot. Meanwhile, Hans Minocha's supporters gave him a round of applause to acknowledge his sixth-place finish.
