Marcus Gurley - 14th Place

Marcus Gurley shoved his short stack all-in preflop holding    and unfortunately ran into the    that David Pham held.

Gurley would need plenty of help to survive, but the       board didn't do it for him as Gurley was sent home in 14th Place. And then there were 13.

Mihails Morozovs - 15th Place

Just a short while after Mihails Morozovs was left crippled against Theo Tran, he has been eliminated by none other than Tran himself.

The last hand of Morozovs tournament began when Tran opened from the cutoff. Morozovs then three-bet shoved from the small blind and Tran quickly called. Morozovs'    was in need of some help against Tran's    and it was help that woul;d never come as the       board sent the pot to Tran.

For that effort, Morozovs goes home with $27,367, while Tran is back to a very healthy stack.

Theo Tran has managed to win a fair chunk of his chip stack back after losing the majority of his chips just a short while ago. The hand in question saw Tran shove for 247,000 on the button. Mihails Morozovs called with    in the big blind and by the time the       board had run out, Tran was back in the mix.

Theo Tran opened up the action to 50,000 from the hijack and the play was sent around to Bahman Jahanguiri in the big blind. He shoved all in for 483,000 and Jahanguiri looked sick as he contemplated the call.

"Do you want me to call?" asked Tran. "I don't even want me to call."

Time ticked on and Jahanguiri still hadn't decided to to do. Eventually he asked the floor if he could say his hand out loud and told his opponent he had ace-jack. After some more time, he made the call and the two players turned their hands over.

Jahanguiri:
Tran:

Tran seemingly made a good decision, but was then on his feet taking deep breaths as the       board gave Jahanguiri the double up and left Tran with a pittance of the stack he once had.

Folded to Dung Nguyen in the hijack, he opened up the pot to 44,000. Jeffery Manza called on his direct left and a     flop hit the felt. Nguyen checked here and then slowly called Manza's bet of 48,000.

On the   turn, Nguyen again checked and this time Manza bet 71,000. It didn't take long for Nguyen's cards to find the muck as Manza raked in the small pot.

Jesse Wilke - 18th Place

The first elimination after our table redraw has occurred within just a few minutes. It all started when Jesse Wilke opened up the pot to 35,000. David Pham was in the small blind and he three bet to 80,000. Wilke then instantly went all in and Pham called just as quickly.

Pham's    was in good shape against Wilke's   , but when the     flop hit the felt, Wilke took the lead. However, the   turn had other ideas, giving Pham the flush and by the time the meaningless   rolled off on the river, Wilke was making his way out the door in 18th place.

Jason Lester has just been eliminated in 19th place to see the final 18 players redraw for their seat. Lester was left with a tiny stack when he rumbled with Tyler Patterson just a short while ago and never managed to recover from there.

Bastian Fischer and Jia Liu have just busted simultaneously on their respective tables. Liu was all-in preflop holding    against Blair Hinkle's    and couldn't catch up.

Fischer held    when he got his stack in preflop and was unlucky to run into the    of Kristijonas Andrulis. The board ran out       and it was all over for Fischer.

Fischer was officially eliminated in 20th place and Liu in 21st.

On Table 457, a flop was showing     and Tyler Patterson was involved in the hand with Jason Lester. By the time we arrived at the table, all the chips were going in and the player's cards were being turned over.

Lester:
Patterson:

Patterson had flopped a great hand and Lester was in trouble. No help came on the turn or river and once the stacks were counted out, Lester was left with just a couple of big blinds.

We have just had a couple of all-in players. Michael Borovetz was all-in preflop on his table, but didn't get any action and Miguel Proulx three-bet shoved over the open from Matthew Pierce. Proulx watched on stoically as Pierce thought long and hard for over a minute, eventually Pierce opted to fold, showing an   as he did so.

A couple of nice little hands just took place simultaneously on Table 451 and Table 457.

One of the hands was between Blair Hinkle and David Pham and we were at the table, there was already a board showing      and Pham was checking to Hinkle. At this point there was already around 200,000 in the pot and Hinkle was betting around 120,000. Pham tanked for almost a minute before letting his hand go, sending the pot to Hinkle.

The other hand saw Theo Tran put in a bet on the river of a board showing all low cards. Only Dung Nguyen made the call and then sent his cards into the muck when Tran tabled   .

The 21 players are in their seats and ready to play down to a champion. It's going to be a long day, so strap yourselves in and get comfortable.

David Pham looking to win his third World Series of Poker gold bracelet.

Welcome back to the Rio as we play down to a champion here in Event 38: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em at the 2012 World Series of Poker. Who will be the champion? Well, that's what you're here to find and we can tell you that regardless of who takes home the victory, it's going to be a great day of poker.

Of the 21 players who will arrive to the table today, it is Jeffrey Manza who starts with the largest chip stack. Manza's 1,302,000 in chips is only almost matched by Dung Nguyen's 1,273,000, while the next closest player is Matthew Pierce with 804,000.

Also joining these big chip stacks at the felt are Scott Clements, Blair Hinkle and David Pham. All of these players have proven themselves on the big stage of the WSOP before, and will be looking to add another bracelet to their trophy cabinets.

Of course, there can only be one winner though and if one of the above players wants to come away with the "w", they will need to get through the likes of Zachary Korik, Michael Borovitz, Blake Cahail and Jesse Wilke.

There will be no better way to find out who becomes our newest champion than getting all the live updates from PokerNews, so strap yourselves in and get ready for some poker. It all begins at 1:00 PM, don't miss it!
