From middle position, Mori Eskandani raised. Action folded to David "Bakes" Baker in the big blind and he reraised. Eskandani called.
The flop came down and Baker led with a bet. Eskandani called and the turn was the . Baker fired again and this time Eskandani gave it up.
A few hands later, Eskandani was in the big blind and called a raise made by John Monnette on the button to see the flop. Eskandani checked and Monnette bet. Eskandani folded and has now dropped to under 200,000 in chips.

Brandon Shack-Harris has just been eliminated shortly after the break. It was during a hand of Omaha Eight-or-Better and it was against Phil Ivey.
Shak-Harris got the remainder of his short-stack in on a flop showing and this is how the cards looked at this point.

The turn was the , and Monnette slowed down, check-calling a bet. The completed the board, and Monnette check-called one more bet. Ivey tabled for a set of queens and the second-nut low, and scooped the pot.

Andrew Brown was short stacked and all in on third street against opponents Paul Sokoloff and Mori Eskandani. Sokoloff and Eskandani checked on fourth before Sokoloff check-called bets from Eskandani on fifth, sixth and seventh.

Ivey opened from middle position and Shack-Harris three-bet out of the small blind. Ivey made the call and the two took to a flop. On the flop, Shack-Harris bet and Ivey called. The turn would see Shack-Harris check and then tank when Ivey bet. After quite some time, Shack-Harris opted to let his hand go and send another pot to Ivey.

At this point in time a Stud Eight-or-Better hand had played out, with Sokoloff tabling his (in no particular order) at showdown. Monnette had out on the board and mucked his hand, giving Sokoloff no response. And with that, the big pot was sent to Sokoloff.

John Hennigan had a bad start to the day and has been the short stack for the last level or so. He recently saw his tournament life end in 13th place during a hand of Razz.
Hennigan was all-in against Paul Sokoloff and the cards were dealt face up from fourth street. Hennigan quickly flipped his cards into the muck as Sokoloff hit his on sixth street. Hennigan couldn't manage even close to that and made his way home.

Paul Sokoloff and Andrew Brown started the day as two of the shortest stacks, but that has changed recently as both of them are sitting behind fairly healthy stacks. Those two recently took part in a Razz hand that went like this.

After the bring-in flicked out a chip with a showing, Brown completed with the showing. Sokoloff made the call. On fourth street, Sokoloff bet and Brown called. On fifth street, Brown bet and Sokoloff thought hard before letting his hand go. "I just laid down a big one," Sokoloff said as Brown raked in the pot.

David Bach started the day as second on the chip leader board, but that changed very quickly as he lost chunks of stack in the first level. Early here in the second level and Bach has been eliminated in 14th place.
We weren't at the table to catch the action, but noticed Matt Waxman was raking in plenty of new chips. We asked him what happened and Phil Hellmuth chimed in, "Mr. Waxman here hit what we in the industry call four-of-a-kind."
Waxman then filled us in that Bach opened under the gun in a round of hold'em and Waxman defended in the big blind. The board ran out and Bach got the remainder of his stack in on the turn. Waxman held and Bach , with Waxman's hand plenty enough to send Bach to the rail.
