We just saw a very interesting development at Black Table #6. We didn't catch all of the action, but this is what happened from the information we gathered.
Action folded around to the player in the small blind, who had the intention of moving all in. However, she grabbed two of her three stacks and pushed them forward, then grabbed her third and slid that forward. This, my friends, is your classic string bet. The problem with this instance was that the big blind had instantly made the call and had already flipped her hand, assuming that her opponent was all in. As it turned out, the big blind had the small blind crushed, with vs .
The floor was called over, and the ruling was made that the flop would be dealt out, and that the players would "play the hand as if they didn't know the other person's cards." Well the flop came , and understandably, the small blind checked, the big blind pushed, and the small blind happily folded, as she had just caught a big break, and was given a second chance in this tournament.

Lizzy Monroe has been nursing a short stack for quite some time and recently committed her last 1,775 from early position. The woman in the cutoff made the call while the rest of the field got out of the way.
Monroe:
Cutoff:
Monroe was in a tough spot, but the flop cheered her up considerably as she picked up a flush draw. The turn did not complete it, but did provide her with a gut-shot straight draw. Unfortunately for Monroe, the {!0c} blanked on the river and she was eliminated from the Ladies Championship.

We caught up with the action on a flop, where Lily Newhouse's lone opponent in the big blind went all in for her last couple thousand. Newhouse slid out a call.
"Did you call me with a two?" Newhouse's opponent asked, tabling .
"No, you're good," she replied while flipping over the .
The turn and river missed Newhouse and she slipped to a still-healthy 16,000 in chips.

There have been confirmed reports of a female competitor having taken ill at table eight prior to the dinner break. During that time, the other players were moved to another table in order for the janitors to clean up and upon the completion of the dinner break, the players were able to return to their original table, along with the ill player's stack, which was blinded out until she returned earlier in previous blind level.
However, she was sick once again, and at the instruction of the floor staff, the player was asked to leave to seek medical attention. While her fellow tablemates have been moved out to table 32 to continue play, as per the WSOP rules, her stack will be blinded off until she is either deemed fit to return by a doctor or she runs out of chips, whichever comes first.
On behalf of the PokerNews team, we wish her a speedy recovery.

Christina Lindley raised to 800 under the gun and received calls from the woman in the cutoff and Mandi Incorvaia in the big blind. When the flop fell , Incorvaia checked, Lindley bet 1,700, and the cutoff min-raised to 3,400. Incorvaia quickly got out of the way while Lindley made the call.
After the dealer burned and turned the , Lindley checked, the cutoff moved all in for 5,575, and Lindley snap-folded. She is still well above the chip average with 24,000.

"Aussie" Sarah Bilney has just been sent to the rail at the hands of Shola Akindele, who is now up to 31,000 in chips as the action continues here in the $1,000 Ladies Championship.
Bilney got the last of her money into the middle before the flop with , but ran smack into Akindele's .
"Board bricks out, pretty standard," Akindele said.

Diem checked, the male player snap-shoved and Phan insta-called.

Pam Wilson opened for 900 from middle position and action folded around to the player in the small blind, who re-raised to 2,000. The big blind folded and Wilson made the call.
The flop came and Wilson's opponent immediately went all in. Wilson shrugged and called.

Just a few minutes ago, we looked up when we heard the familiar sound of a celebratory scream and we saw that Gretchen "The Dragon Lady" Brummer was doing a mini dance in what we assumed was a big pot for her. We walked on over, and saw that her stack size had grown to about 21,000. We asked her what happened, and she gave us a recap of the big hand.
The under the gun player moved all in for 3,200, and action folded all the way around to Brummer in the small blind. She looked down at and decided to flat call. The big blind then moved all in for 5,000 more, and Brummer went deep into the tanks. She said "It felt like she was thinking for 10 minutes, but in reality it was probably only two." She decided to make the call, and saw she was in fairly good shape. The big blind had , but one of those outs was taken, as the under the gun player had . The board bricked out for both, and Brummer scored the double knock out, giving her 21,000 in chips.

Less than 10 minutes ago we reported on a hand that saw Brazilian Maria Mayrinck reduced to just 1,500 in chips. Well, that has changed in a hurry. We just passed by Mayrinck's table and she has built her stack all the way up to 9,000.
When asked how she did it, Mayrinck responded: "I've been playing every hand." Obviously it is working.

As we wandered past Kirsty Chick and Wooka Kim's table, we saw Lana O'Brien chatting to Heath "TassieDevil" Chick and Dave "F-Train" Behr. As she recalled to us, she got the last of her money into the middle with before the flop, but ran into an opponent's .
While O'Brien may be on the other side of the rail now, the same cannot be said for France's Celine Bastian, who is sharing space with Chick and Kim. Bastian's now up to more than 25,000 in chips and we should also remind you, last year's winner, Vanessa Hellebuyck, was also French.
Could this be the year that the tricolor rises again?

From what we could piece together, Maria Mayrinck limped from early position only to have a player in middle position move all in for 4,475 more. Action folded back to Mayrinck and she hit the tank. A call constitute 75% of her stack, meaning this was one of those crucial spots in every woman's tournament. Eventually Mayrinck made the call and discovered the bad news.
