Steve Landfish raised under the gun and Isaac Haxton three-bet him from the hijack. Landfish made the call and check-called Haxton's bet on the     flop. The action was the same on the   turn until Landfish check-raised Haxton's bet. Haxton made the call and called Landfish's bet on the   river. Landfish turned over    which was good for another pot.

Justin "Boosted J" Smith raised and received a call from Isaac Haxton in the big blind. Both players then checked the     flop, leading to the   on the turn. Haxton decided to take control of the pot and led out, which Smith called. The same action occurred on the   river and Haxton revealed   . It was good enough to win the pot as Boosted J mucked his hand.

Steve Landfish raised in the hijack and Richard Brodie defended from the big blind. On the     flop, Brodie checked and Landfish bet. Brodie came back with a check-raise but Landfish three-bet him. Brodie shutdown the raising with a call and check-call Landfish's bet on the   turn. Both players checked the   on the river and Landfish showed    to take down the pot. Brodie's short-stack just got a little slimmer.

Nick Schulman has raised the past three hands and managed to take down the blind each and every time. They're certainly not big pots, but those blinds add up quick, especially to the player on the short stack.

Daniel Idema

When it comes to poker players, it is hard to find a player who specializes in limit hold'em; however, that is exactly what we have in our chip leader, Dan Idema, who finished runner-up in this very event last year for $263,243. Idema has three other WSOP cashes including one just a couple of weeks ago in Event #6 $1,500 Limit Hold'em (23rd- $6,096), a 16th-place finish in the 2010 Event #53 $1,500 Limit Hold'em Shotout ($4,135), and a 7th-place finish in the 2010 Event #44 $2,500 Mixed Hold'em event ($35,601).

As you can see, Idema is well versed in limit hold'em and no doubt looking to capture the coveted title that slipped his grasp just one year ago.

Hoyt Corkins (10th- $28,990)

Steve Landfish raised from early position only to have a short-stacked Hoyt Corkins reraise all in from the small blind for about 45,000 total. Landfish made the call and the cards were turned up.

It was a race for Corkins' tournament life, but he was the one who needed to catch to stay alive. The     flop kept Landfish in the lead, as did the   turn. In order to survive, Corkins needed either a queen or nine on the river. Unfortunately for him, the   blanked and he was eliminated in tenth place.

With that, the remaining players are on a brief break while the WSOP staff calculates the chip counts for the official final table.

Over the first orbit, every single hand was won before showdown until the last one. Daniel Idema raised from middle position and Steve Landfish three-bet in the cutoff. On the     flop, Idema checked and Landfish bet. Idema raised and Landfish made it three bets. Idema made it four and Landfish just called. On both the   turn and   river, Landfish called Idema's bets only to be shown the    of Idema at the end. Landfish mucked his hand and Idema took down the first showdown of the unofficial final table to increase his chip lead.

The players seem to be adjusting to their new surroundings and taking in the spectacle that is the WSOP feature table; as such, play has been extremely tight the past ten minutes. As a matter of fact, we have yet to see a single showdown.

Friday, June 17, 2011 4:24 PM Local Time

The remaining ten players have taken their seats at the feature table and the cards are back in the air. With so many notable names still remaining, the chairs here in the "Thunder Dome" are beginning to fill up.

Darren Woods (11th- $28,990)

Unfortunately we didn't catch the hand, but we can confirm that 2011 WSOP bracelet winner Darren Woods has been eliminated in 11th place at the hands of Isaac Haxton, bringing us down to the unofficial final table. Players have racked their chips and are moving to the ESPN Main Stage. Action is set to resume in about 20 minutes.

Tam Hang

As Matt Hawrilenko was being eliminated at one table, Tam Hang was hit the rail at the other. We didn't catch the details, but Hang has been eliminated in 12th place, for which he'll take home $28,990.

Matt Hawrilenko

After having doubled through Domenico Denotaristefani in the previous hand, Matt Hawrilenko was all in and at risk again the very next hand against the same opponent.

Board:

Hawrilenko:
Denotaristefani:

Denotaristefani had flopped a set while Hawrilenko had turned top two. Hawrilenko would need a king or a nine on the river to survive.

The   on the river was of no help to Hawrilenko and he was eliminated.

Barry Greenstein raised from early position on to face a three-bet from Isaac Haxton in the cutoff and a four-bet from Darren Woods in small blind. Greenstein called, as did Haxton, and it was three-handed to the     flop. Woods led out, both his opponents called, and the   appeared on the turn. Again Woods bet, Greenstein called, and Haxton folded.

Woods bet yet again on the   river and Greenstein quickly called. "You're a sick man, Barry," Woods said. "You got an ace?" he asked as he turned over   .

Sure enough, Greenstein flipped over    for the winning hand. "I'm not sick. I had a reason," Greenstein said with a smile.

Steve Landfish raised on the button and Hoyt Corkins called from the big blind. On the     flop, Corkins led out and Landfish called. The action was the same when the   hit the turn except this time Corkins was all in.

Corkins:
Landfish:

Landfish would need any seven, nine, jack or queen to eliminate Corkins. The river was the   to pair the board though and Corkins would survive as yet another short-stack doubled up.

On a flop of    , Barry Greenstein checked, Tam Hang bet, and Greenstein threw in a check-raise. Hang made the call to see the   peel off on the turn, which both players checked. Greenstein then led out on the   river, causing Hang to hit the tank hard. Eventually he laid down his hand and allowed Greenstein to take down the pot.

Steve Landfish

Hoyt Corkins raised from middle position and received a single call in the form of Steve Landfish, who checked the     flop. Corkins bet, Landfish check-raised, and Corkings made the call. Landfish then led out on the   turn, Corkins called, and both players checked the   river.

"One pair," Landfish said as he revealed   . It was good as a resigned Corkins flipped over his   .

After a series of raises, we found Isaac Haxton all in and at risk on a      board against Richard Brodie.

Haxton:
Brodie:

Brodie would need a queen or eight on the river to eliminate Haxton. However it came the   and Haxton doubled up.
