Players are now on a 20-minute break.

Daniel Idema

Daniel Idema raised in the cutoff and Steve Landfish three-bet from the small blind. Idema raised once more which put Landfish all in who called.

Landfish:
Idema:

Landfish was in good shape to double up and the     was clean although it gave Idema some backdoor straight and flush outs to go along with the two remaining jacks. The   on the turn gave Idema an open-ended straight draw and he could now eliminate Landfish with any seven, jack or queen. The river was the   though and Landfish survived as Idema doubled up another short-stack.

It has been an up-and-down day for Barry Greenstein. Just now he raised under the gun only to have Daniel Idema three-bet from the button. The blinds folded, Greenstein made the call, and the flop fell    .

Greenstein proceeded to check-raise Idema, who ended up making the call. When the   was put out on the turn, Greenstein bet all in for 80,000, Idema called, and the cards were turned on their back.

Greenstein:
Idema:

The   river changed nothing and Greenstein doubled on the hand.

False Alarm: Berry Greenstein thought he was busting, but he doubled up.

We found Barry Greenstein all in and at risk again Matthew Gallin on the     flop.

Gallin:
Greenstein:

Greenstein, who famously signs a copy of his book, 'Ace on the River', to give to the opponent who busts him in each tournament, stood up from his chair and was about to sign and give Gallin his copy.

The turn was the   though and Greenstein got the ace that he needed, albeit on the turn to storm into the lead. The river came the   to double Greenstein up who sat back down with his book.

An extremely short-stacked Steve Landfish raised in the cutoff and Matthew Gallin three-bet from the small blind. Landfish called all in and was at risk but in dominating position.

Landfish:
Gallin:

The board ran out       and was clean for Landfish to double up.

Steve Landfish raised from the cutoff and received a call from Daniel Idema in the big blind. It went check-bet-raise-call on the     flop, which was followed by a bet and call on the   turn. The same action occurred on the   river and Idema showed    for a flopped two pair. Landfish was clearly frustrated as he tossed his cards in the muck, leaving himself 580,000 behind.

In the very next hand, Landfish raised from the cutoff and was met with a three-bet from Barry Greenstein in the cutoff. The blinds folded, Landfish four-bet, and Greenstein made the call. Landfish bet the     flop, Greenstein just called, and the dealer burned and turned the  .

Again Landfish bet and Greenstein called off his last 60,000. Greenstein showed    for the flopped flush, while Landfish was in need of a deuce or seven with his   . The   river was close to a deuce, but not close enough. Landfish was left with just 310,000 after the hand.

Justin "Boosted J" Smith is eliminated in 6th place by Barry Greenstein.

It was folded around to a severely short-stacked Justin Smith in the small blind who moved all in. Barry Greenstein called in the big with a chance to take out the player who he had just doubled through twice before.

Greenstein:
Smith:

The     flop gave Smith an inside-straight draw to go along with his two live cards. The   turn and   river were of no help to Smith however and he was eliminated from the tournament.

Justin "Boosted J" Smith was in the small blind while Barry Greenstein was in the big. The latter was all in for his last 80,000 holding    against the    of Smith. While he was behind, the     flop was kind to Greenstein, giving him a flush draw. The   turn gave him that flush and assured his double.

A few hands later, Greenstein raised from the hijack only to have Daniel Idema reraise from the button. Greenstein called all in and was in a dominating position.

Greenstein:
Idema:

The board ran out a clean       and Greenstein double yet again.

Daniel Idema raised in the cutoff and Justin Smith called from the big blind. On all three streets of the       board, Smith check-called an Idema bet. Idema turned over    for top pair and Smith mucked as his stack dwindled to 200,000.

Isaac Haxton out in 7th place.

Isaac Haxton raised from early position and was soon three-bet by Steve Landfish from the button. The blinds got out of the way and Haxton called off for 56,000 total.

Haxton:
Landfish:

"I have two overs," Landfish observed. While the     flop did not his one of his cards, it did provide him with the nut-flush draw. The   turn gave him the said flush, leaving Haxton in want of a seven or ten on the river. Unfortunately for him, the   river was neither and he was sent to the rail in seventh place.

One man who wasn't happy about the elimination was Haxton's good friend Justin Bonomo, who had just arrived to watch his friend in action. Right after the bust, Bonomo tweeted: "Sigh. Bonomo curse in full effect. Showed up to cheer on @ikepoker at his FT and he busted the second hand i was there for :("

In a battle of the blinds, Isaac Haxton raised from the small and Daniel Idema called from the big. Haxton led out on the     flop and Idema answered with a raise. Haxton called and both players checked the   on the turn. Haxton check-called Idema's bet when the   hit the river and Idema turned over    for flopped trips that became the nut flush by the end. Haxton mucked as his stack continued to shrink.

In a rare three-way hand, Domenico Denotaristefani raised, Barry Greenstein called on the button and Matthew Gallin joined them from the small blind. All three players checked the     flop which led to the   on the turn where Gallin checked again. Denotaristefani bet this time and Greenstein folded but Gallin stuck around. Both players checked the   river and Gallin turned over    for the winner.

Matthew Gallin raised under the gun and received a call from Steve Landfish on the button, Justin Smith in the small blind, and Barry Greenstein in the big. Smith proceeded to check the     flop, Greenstein bet, Gallin called, and the other two players got out of the way.

Greenstein immediately put out a bet on the   turn and Gallin quickly called off his last 59,000, showing    for quads. Greenstein was drawing dead with his    and Gallin doubled.

Isaac Haxton all in & doubles up.

Barry Greenstein raised in the cutoff and after quite a bit of thought, Isaac Haxton three-bet from the small blind. Greenstein re-raised and Haxton called all in to put his tournament life at risk.

Greenstein:
Haxton:

The flop was a kind one to Haxton as it came     to pull him into the lead. Greenstein would need to hit a ten or some kind of running straight or flush cards to eliminate Haxton. The   on the turn meant that Haxton would have to avoid a ten or a queen now to survive. The river was the   and Haxton won the hand to double up.

Matthew Gallin raised from the button and Daniel Idema shrugged before putting in a reraise from the big blind. To call would cost Gallin the rest of his chips, and that is exactly what he did.

Gallin:
Idema:

The board ran out a clean       and Gallin doubled, though he is still short stacked.

Daniel Idema raised from middle position only to have Steve Landfish three-bet from the cutoff. The button and blinds got out of the way, while Idema decided to call. When the flop fell    , Idema check-raised Landfish's bet, only to have Landfish raise it again. Idema made the call. Idema then led out on the   turn, which Landfish called.

The same action occurred on the   river and Idema showed   , which was good enough to win the pot.

Domenico Denotaristefani

Domenico Denotaristefani raised from the cutoff and Barry Greenstein made the call from the big blind. Greenstein then checked the    , Denotaristefani bet, and Greenstein simply folded.

Friday, June 17, 2011 8:12 PM Local Time

Domenico Denotaristefani raised from the small blind and Steve Landfish made the call from the big. Denotaristefani led out when the     flop came down and Landfish made the call as the two saw the turn. It came the   and Denotaristefani led out again. Landfish came back with a raise and Denotaristefani ended up all in.

Denotaristefani:
Landfish:

Denotaristefani would have to avoid a jack or ten on the river to survive and double up and that he did when the   hit the river. His rail went wild and received a warning afterwards that they had gotten too rowdy.
