Landry: (x)(x) / / (x) FOLDED
Katchalov: (x)(x) / / (x)
Eugene Katchalov just won a big pot for the standard that the players have set so far at this table. Kai Landry completed after Jonathan Spinks brought in. Eugene Katchalov then three-bet it, and Landry called. Katchalov then proceeded to bet every single street, including seventh where he bet before he even saw his last card. Landry finally let it go on seventh, dropping to 110,000, while Katchalov jumps up to 295,000.

Dennis Parker just picked up some much needed chips at the expense of our chip leader Eric Buchman. Parker completed on third street, then called when Buchman raised. Parker called on fourth street, then raised after Buchman bet out. Buchman folded, and Parker scooped the pot to get up to 120,000 while Buchman dipped back below the 400k level at 390,000.

Spinks: (x)(x) / FOLDED
Lazarou: (x)(x) /
So far at the final table, play has been fairly tight, with several hands ending after the completion. In a rare hand that got to fifth street, Jonathan Spinks completed, and was called by Vasili Lazarou. Lazarou check called fourth street, then bet out on fifth, causing Spinks to fold. Lazarou jumped up to 160,000, and Spinks dropped to 236,000.

Ausmus: /
Lazarou: / /
Jeremy Ausmus has bubbled the official final table, getting knocked out in 9th place. Ausmus and Vasili Lazarou got all the money in the middle on fourth street, with Ausmus showing two pair, tens and eights, and Lazarou showing a pair of aces. By seventh street, Ausmus had three pair, and Lazarou needed to get two pair to improve. Lazarou squeezed his last card VERY slowly and revealed the for a better two pair. Lazarou is now up to 140,000, and we have our final eight.
Saturday, June 4, 2011 3:00 PM Local Time
We are two hands deep into the unofficial final table, and Kai Landry has taken both. Both times, he completed and the rest of the table folded. First time, Landry showed a wired pair of aces, and the second time, a wired pair of eights.

Andrew Blumen entered the day as one of the short stacks, and in just a half hour has been eliminated. Unfortunately we were unable to catch the hand, but according to Eric Buchman (the player who busted him), Blumen had tens-up going to seventh street and Buchman had three-pair sevens, fours and fives. Fortunately for Buchman he pulled a five on the river, making a full house and eliminating Blumen from the tournament.
The remaining nine players are redrawing for the unofficial final table.

Ylon Schwartz - (x) (x) / / (x)
Jonathan Spinks - (x) (x) / / (x)
Schwartz brought in with the , and Spinks completed with the showing. Schwartz called. Spinks led out on fourth, Schwartz called, and both players checked on fifth. Spinks led out again on sixth, but this time Schwartz raised. Spinks called.
Spinks quickly checked seventh, Schwartz bet blind, and Spinks sweated his down card before raising.
"F***," Schwartz muttered. "Wow...I call..."
Spinks opened for a full house, prompting Schwartz to leap out of his seat in disbelief. Schwartz mucked his hand, and was left with only a handful of purple T500 chips, while a massive pot was pushed Spinks' way.
Schwartz doubled the next hand, but was eliminated soon after.

Ghaneian: (x)(x) / / (x)
Buchman: (x)(x) / / (x)
Arash Ghaneian is the first causality of the day. He started the day with 77,000, but lost most of it on the hand above. Eric Buchman and Ghaneian capped the bets on third street, then Ghaneian led out on fourth and fifth street, and Buchman called both times. On sixth street, Buchman took over the betting when he paired his five, then bet seventh as well. Ghaneian called both times, then mucked when Buchman revealed for a six high straight.
Three hands later, Ghaneian was all in on third street, and fell behind early when Vasili Lazarou made a pair of aces on fourth. Ghaneian was drawing to an inside straight draw on seventh street, and missed, kncoking him out of the tournament.

We are a few minutes into Day 3 of this event and Ali Eslami has not shown up yet. He is currently being anted off, and given that he is eighth in chips with 77,000 and antes being 1,500 a pop, we hope he gets here soon.

Today, a winner will (probably) be crowned in Event #5: $1,500 Seven Card Stud.
Twelve players will return for Day 3, including chip leader Alessio Isaia (232,500), 2009 November Niner Eric Buchman (220,500), 2011 PCA Super-High Roller Champion Eugene Katchalov (212,500), and 2008 November Niner Ylon Schwartz (70,000). Buchman was atop the leader board throughout Day 2, while Isaia made a late surge to capture the chip lead at the end of the day.
Kai Landry (200,000) and Jonathan Spinks (133,000) also trended up throughout Day 2. Spinks would've ended the day with over 200,000 as well, but he took a rough beat against Schwartz at the end of the day.
The action resumes in about 30 minutes here in the Amazon Room. We will start at Level 19, and play until we have a champion or the end of Level 28. Stay tuned to PokerNews for live updates from this and every bracelet event at the 2011 World Series of Poker!
