Fabrizio Gonzalez is on the brink of elimination with just 1,000 left. He limp-called blind on blind against Cameron McKinley and fired the turn and river of a       board after both players checked the flop. McKinley called both bets and showed      for a baby flush to win.

The next hand Gonzalez raised the button and McKinley made it three bets in the small blind. McKinley then bet every street of the       board and Gonzalez called him down with      only to find he was being scooped by his opponent's      for two pair with an A-6 low.

Friday, June 3, 2011 3:26 PM Local Time

We just had a monster pot between three of our chip leaders. Matthew Waxman raised on the button and Francesco Barbaro called in the small blind. Vladimir Shchemelv three bet from the big blind and the other two players called.

The flop came     and Barbaro led out. He got raised by Shchemelev and Waxman threw in a three bet. Barbaro got out of the way and Shchemelev made the call. The   turn went check bet call as did the   river. Waxman held      for a flush and the high while Shchemelev had      for the low.

Daniel Smith

Daniel Smith was involved in a three way pot with Humberto Brenes and Michael Deveronica with the board reading    . Brenes checked, Deveronica bet and Smith raised, Brenes folded and Deveronica called.

Deveronica then check-called a double bet on the   turn, before setting Smith all in on the   river. Smith called with      but found he was behind to Deveronica's      which had backdoored into a boat.

Just twelve remain.

Friday, June 3, 2011 3:02 PM Local Time

Ryan Lenaghan raised preflop from UTG and Matthew Waxman made it three bets from the hijack. Kostas Kathalakis cold-called from the cutoff and Lenaghan aslo called.

Waxman fired all the way of a       board with the other two players calling him down until the river where they both mucked. Waxman is up to 610,000.

We caught up with the action three handed on a     board. John Mccaffrey checked and Vladimir Shchemelev bet. Guillaume Rivet came in with a raise and Mccaffrey check raised. Shchemelev called as did Rivet who was all in.

The turn was the   and now Mccaffrey was all in. All three players turned up their hands.

Mccaffrey:
Shchemelev:
Rivet:

The river was the   to give Shchemelev the best two pair and eliminate both players. He was up to 560,000 after the hand.

Jimmy Fricke

After a topsy-turvy day, Jimmy Fricke has finally succumbed. He was all in with      against Cameron McKinley's      on a     flop, the   turn and   river meant both made two pair but McKinley's queen-kicker played. The 2011 O8 massacre continues...

Friday, June 3, 2011 2:42 PM Local Time

Mallory Smith called all in for his last 15,000 or so with      against Richard Monroe's      - the latter held on a       board for the pot. That's our 11th exit in just over an hour, maybe we will finish this tournament today...

Friday, June 3, 2011 2:40 PM Local Time

Jacobo Fernandez was all in preflop in a four-way pot against Ryan Leneghan, Matt Waxman and Fabrizio Gonzalez. The       board was checked down, Fernandez turned over      for top two but Gonzalez showed      for a straight which was enough for the pot.

Friday, June 3, 2011 2:32 PM Local Time

Four players saw a     flop. Jimmy Harper ended up being all in against Jimmy Fricke who had 1,000 more than him.

Harper:
Fricke:

The turn was the   and the river the   which gave Fricke a straight flush to eliminate Harper. Fricke was up to 105,000 after the hand and the players were redrawing for the final two tables.

Nice work there Mr Doft.

Jimmy Fricke has just trebled back up for his final 14,000 against Francesco Barbaro and Guillaume Rivet. Rivet bet Barbaro off the     flop then turned over      to Fricke's     , the   on the turn slightly improving Rivet but the   river made Fricke a wheel to confirm the scoop. Fricke is back up to about 55,000.

Friday, June 3, 2011 2:23 PM Local Time

Our ace field reporter Mickey Doft just said, "I don't think Jimmy Fricke has won a pot yet today."

Fricke was just quartered, holding      on a       board all in preflop against Travis Pearson's     , the latter making two pair while both players had a live five for the low.

Friday, June 3, 2011 2:20 PM Local Time

Crazy action four-ways saw several streets of betting between Jacobo Fernandez, Kostas Kalathakis, Fabrizio Gonzalez and Lawrence Michaels.

The board was reading       and all four made it to the river with Michaels all in.

Kalathakis turned over      for the nut flush while Gonzalez showed      for the nut low, neither Fernandez or Michaels could beat either and were scooped.

Friday, June 3, 2011 2:10 PM Local Time

Jimmy Fricke is down to 110,000 after he paid off a river bet on a       board against Guillaume Rivet. The Day 1 chip leader turned over      for a rivered straight to increase his own stack to 140,000.

Friday, June 3, 2011 2:07 PM Local Time

Humberto Brenes has almost doubled, getting paid for on the river of a       with only 5,000 left when he turned over      against Mallory Smith's      which had turned the second nut flush. Smith is not very short as a result.

Scott Clements

Scott Clements was all in on the turn of a      board after check-calling a bet on the flop (having raise preflop from the cutoff and getting called by Kostas Kalathakis).

Clements:      for a pair of jacks and a three-four low
Kalathakis:      for the nut low.

Clements needed to avoid a ten or queen that wasn't a spade to survive and get a chop but the   meant Kalathakis scooped the pot. The double Omaha bracelet winner will have to wait until next time.

Friday, June 3, 2011 1:57 PM Local Time

We missed the action but saw Richard Monroe raking in the chips as Andreas Krause hit the rail. Monroe was up to 300,000 after busting Krause.

Friday, June 3, 2011 1:51 PM Local Time

After losing over half his stack to Scott Clements a few hands ago, Jaime Kaplan has just busted. He got it all in against Jacobo Fernandez on a     and the players turned up their cards.

Kaplan:
Fernandez:

The turn and river came the   and   respectively which gave Fernandez the nuts with Broadway. This sent Kaplan packing while Fernandez was up to 250,000 after the hand.

Friday, June 3, 2011 1:46 PM Local Time

Lex Veldhuis

Travis Pearson raised preflop and Lex Veldhuis defended in the big blind. The flop was     and Veldhuis led out, Pearson raised and Veldhuis moved all in for not much more. Call.

Veldhuis:
Pearson:

Veldhuis was in front but Pearson picked up the nut low draw, gutshot and nut flush draw on the   turn causing a huge sweat for the Dutchman. The   on the river was enough to scoop the pot for Pearson as he made aces and the nut low for both halves of the pot.

Friday, June 3, 2011 1:42 PM Local Time

Scott Clements raised UTG+1 and it was folded around to Jaime Kaplan in the big blind. Kaplan made it three bets to go and Clements answered by making it four. Kaplan just called and the flop came    . Kaplan led out and got raised by Clements. He just called and they saw the   turn. Kaplan checked called Clements bet and the river was the  . Both players checked and Kaplan announced ace-six high. Clements turned over      for one pair that was good to almost double him up to 169,000 while Kaplan dropped down to 75,000
