With the board reading    , WSOP bracelet winner Dario Alioto called a bet of 1,500 (along with one other) and checked down the   turn before leading out for 4,500 on the   river. Both players folded allowing Alioto to jump back up to 18,000 after an disappointing opening two levels.

There was 3,500 in the pot with a board reading      when Jonathan Little checked from the small blind and the button bet 1,600. Little called as the   hit the river.

Both players checked and Little said, "I think you got me." The button showed    for a pair of aces. Little showed two small clubs for a missed flush draw. Good thing for him another club didn't hit. Little is down to 25,500.

The player who came up with the idea of getting everyone to wear Snuggies at Table 63 has just been eliminated from the tournament. As a show of camaraderie he left his Snuggie behind for the next player to take his seat. Another player at the table took his number and promised to return it somehow by the end of the day.

John Phan was just now back in action. As John Phan will do.

With 1,200 in the middle and the board showing    , Chris "Jesus" Ferguson bet 700 and Phan made the call behind him. The turn was the  . This time Ferguson checked, Phan bet 1,100, and Ferguson called.

The river brought the  . Ferguson checked again, and Phan checked as well. Ferguson showed   , and Phan mucked.

Ferguson has 31,000, and Phan 24,000.

On a     flop, UTG led for 1,200, the hijack called, and Andreas Hoivold raised to 5,025 with just 5,950 behind. The initial aggressor folded, and, albeit after a long tortured dwell, the caller followed suit rather than dipping into his 70,000 stack. Hoivold showed the  .

Audley Harrison is an incredibly imposing figure at the poker table. Even sitting down, his sheer mass is obvious - clear head and shoulders taller than anyone else at the table, including the dealer in his high chair, he is a true giant.

The same cannot be said of his stack - he's been nursing a rather short one for some time now. However, just now he made a slight recovery, although he remains below the 10,000 mark.

Harrison and one other player limped in early position before a player a few seats down made it 1,000 to go. Harrison was the only caller, and the two of them saw a flop.

Harrison checked the   flop and then called the 1,200 continuation bet from his opponent. Both players checked the   turn, and come the   river Harrison bet out 2,000. His opponent folded, and Harrison made a bit of a recovery to a still rather short 9,500.

A player in early position raised to 450 and got three callers. The cutoff seat called and the two blinds called. Freddy Deeb was the player in the big blind.

The four players took a flop of     and the first two players checked to the preflop raiser. He fired 800 and the cutoff seat called. The small blind folded. Deeb made the call, leaving three players to the turn.

Fourth street produced the   and all three players checked to see the   fall on the river. Deeb checked, the preflop raiser checked and then the cutoff bet 1,500. Deeb was the only called.

Deeb held the    and his opponent the   . Deeb's flush won him the pot and pushed his stack to 35,000 in chips.

Trishelle Cannatella and another player at her table had all their chips in the middle over at Table 57 in the Pavilion.

Cannatella:

Opponent:

ESPN cameras were quick to check out the action as Cannatella called for low cards. The flop came   with the turn coming   and the river bringing the  .

Cannatella said, "See you later buddy" as she shook the busted player's hand and brought his chips into her pile.

The win puts Cannatella up to about 35,000.

Layne Flack was shirtless just now. Yes, it's true.

The Milwaukee's Best Light girls were coming through with free t-shirts, apparently, and Flack demonstrated his desire for one by removing the shirt he'd been wearing.

No longer topless, Flack was just involved in a hand in which he led with a bet of 4,000 on the turn with the board showing     , then his opponent raised to 10,000. Flack shook his head and folded his    face up.

"I can't let you win the shirt off my back," said Flack with a grin. "I just got it."

Besides his new shirt, Flack still has 46,000.

Seat 3 raised to 600 from early position and the player in the hijack reraised to 1,375. John "The Razor" Phan, who was on the button, then made it 3,300 to go. Action folded back to Seat 3 who eyed up his opponent's stacks and then moved all in for 34,500 more.

The hijack folded and action was back on Phan. He uttered, "Another sick hand," before going into the tank. Phan only had 26,800 and a call would mean his tournament was at stake. The cameras soon surrounded the table as Phan was faced with a big decision. Eventually, he mucked the    face-up and Seat 3 was kind enough to show   .

We arrived at Joe Hachem's table to see a flop of   spread on the table with just over 1,000 chips in the middle. Hachem had made a bet of 1,425 from middle position with a player two seats to his left raising to 3,600.

Hachem thought for a while and made the fold, asking his opponent to "Show the bluff one time." Hachem's opponent slid his cards face-down to Hachem, who flipped them over showing  . Hachem said, "They beat kings" and gave the cards back to the dealer.

Now we're not in the business of giving lessons, but this reported certainly doesn't recommend showing a pro your cards after getting them to fold theirs. But then again, this reporter is just a reporter.

David Saab's early-position raise was called by the player on the button.

The flop came down     and Saab bet 1,000. His opponent popped it to 3,125 and Saab immediately dropped the rest of his stack into the pot, 12,125 more. His opponent thought it over for about a minute before giving it up.

Saab: Up to about 20,000.

A player in middle position raised to 400 and Bernard Lee made it 1,525. One other player and the original raiser called to see the flop come down    . Action checked to the first caller and he bet 4,500 with only Lee making the call.

The turn brought the   and Lee's opponent fired 8,500. Lee stuck in the chips to make the call. The river completed the board with the   and both players checked. Lee tabled    to win the hand and is now up to 41,000 in chips.

Pam Brunson, who busted earlier today, and Edward Brogdon were just on the rail over at Table 25. They were there to wish Todd Brunson good luck. Brunson is hovering around the starting stack of 30,000 but will have his work cut out for him as he is seated at the same table as former Novermber Niner, Ylon Schwartz.

A few of the players here in the Amazon Blue secton are sporting matching red tops with plenty of logos on them, including one that is a black spade and has the word "Fatty's" written on it. Fatty's is a poker club in New York that has sent ten players to the WSOP Main Event. Here in Blue, we have four them them. Al Riccobono, Mike Castaldo, Erik Hofmann and Scott Einiger are all here to represent the club and hope to make some things happen.

Riccobono said about the group, "There is no reason why the representative Fatty's players won't make a splash. I expect big things from this oversized crew –- just wait!"

Hopefully the Main Event here is a catalyst for big things to come from this crew, who are looking to jumpstart a docu-reality TV show based around poker. "It's like Cheers, but around a poker table," said Riccobono. They'll also have Lacey Jones working with them on the show, which is surely a treat for anyone's eyes.

In the official press release, which can be read here, it said, "Fatty's: Where Poker Gets REAL follows New York poker club owner Mike "The Nose" Castaldo, professional poker players and a cast of regular local Joes who will interact with pros and celebrities throughout the year, both on and away from the tables."

The four of them seated in this section are all still alive. Here's their counts.

Einiger - 38,000

Castaldo - 28,750

Riccobono - 23650

Hofmann - 17,100

We don't know how the money got in the middle, but the board read   when it did. Wendeen Eolis was ahead with   and her opponent held  .

The   on the turn was a disaster for Eolis however, and the   on the river gave her opponent quad aces just for kicks and giggles.

Eolis is left with just 13,000 after the hand.

There could be fireworks approaching on Table 310 as Andreas Hoivold finds himself seated next door to the ever-active William Thorson.

Like his fellow Scandinavian, Hoivold has an impressive record with over $1.5 million in tournament winnings including a Poker Million final, multiple GUKPT finals, and an EPT title in his cabinet after winning Dortmund in 2007 for €672,000. He is also one of the few European pros to have made an appearance on celebrated cash game show High Stakes Poker.

With just 12,000 in chips, he's currently struggling, but if he can increase his stack to something more playable, we could see some intriguing encounters between the two Scandinavians. My prediction? Sparks are gonna fly.

You might notice a new name atop the chip counts here in the early going.

Khamsy Nuanmanee has had a successful first level-and-a-half today, having already cruised her way to the 115,000 chip mark.

The Rio is frigid to begin with, but Table 63 in the Pavilion is one of a few tables that are situated directly underneath an air conditioning vent. There's enough cold wind coming down on the table to make the light fixture above it swing and the hair on players' heads to blow.

It's cold.

The players at Table 63 have responded by taking matters into their own hands. Rather than asking casino staff to turn down the heat, they all ordered up Snuggies, which were just delivered to their table. They might look silly, but they're warm and looking silly together.

On a flop of    , Seat 6 bet out 600 and Steve Billirakis called from middle position, as did the big blind. All players checked the   on the turn and the   came on the river.

The big blind bet 1,750 and Seat 6 folded. Billirakis then raised to 6,250 and put the pressure back on the big blind. It proved to be too much and the big blind released. Meanwhile, Billirakis took down the pot and is up to 78,000.
