It folded to Pekka Ikonen who announced he was all in from the small blind. Having just been crippled down to his last 275,000 in that hand with Chuan Shi, Jin made the call with his remaining chips from the big blind.

Ikonen showed    and Jin   . The board came      , and Jin was eliminated.

Ikonen is now sitting with close to 2 million, which puts him right in the thick of things with four players left.

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 8:02 PM Local Time

From under the gun, Wenlog Jin opened the pot with a 140,000 chips. Next to speak, Chuan Shi popped it to 350,000. Jin moved all in and Chuan called.

Showdown

Shi:

Jin:

The       board gave Shi a full double up. Jin slipped to 275,000 chips and Shi is now up to 1,950,000 .

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 7:54 PM Local Time

Wenlong Jin limped in from the cutoff -- something we haven't seen much of at all at this final table -- and Chuan Shi called behind him on the button. Both blinds decided to come along as well, Shawn Busse in the small and Owen Crowe in the big.

The flop came  . It checked to Jin who bet 110,000 and only Crowe decided to stick around for more. The turn came the  , and both players checked.

The river then brought the  . Crowe fired 200,000 into the middle, and Jin thought a moment before letting it go.

Crowe is back out in front with about 2.9 million, and Jin has 1.42 million.

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 7:45 PM Local Time

The last two hands saw preflop three-bets from Pekka Ikonen, and both times the reraises were good enough for the Finnish player to take the pots.

On the first Chuan Shi raised to 150,000, and a 390,000 reraise from Pekka Ikonen chased Shi out. On the next, Owen Crowe made to 140,000 from the button, and Ikonen's reraise to 400,000 from the small blind did the trick again.

Ikonen moves up close to 1.6 million after those two hands.

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 7:40 PM Local Time

On the hand following that chop with Pekka Ikonen, Wenlong Jin was all in again, this time from the cutoff, and got a caller in Chuan Shi. Wenlong had picked up another baby pair --    -- and was racing against Shi's   .

The flop came  , and Jin was way ahead with his set. The   on the turn meant the   river didn't matter. Jin doubled back to about 1.1 million, and Chi slipped to 1.525 million.

From the cutoff seat, Pekka Ikonen opened the pot with a 135,000-chip raise. On the button, Wenlong Jin moved all in for and additional 370,000 chips. Ikonen called.

Showdown

Jin:

Ikonen:

The board didn't change anything and they chopped the pot.

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 7:29 PM Local Time

No flops for the first half-dozen hands after dinner, with standard preflop raises being sufficient to take the pots.

Just prior to the break, Chuan Shi had closed the gap somewhat between himself and Owen Crowe and Shawn Busse, Now Wenlong Jin is sitting on the short stack and is looking ready to push any hand now.

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 6:23 PM Local Time

Owen Crowe -- 2.65 million

Shawn Busse -- 2.52 million

Chaun Shi -- 2.07 million

Pekka Ikonen -- 1.235 million

Wenlong Jin -- 725,000

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 6:18 PM Local Time

We're now on a 60-minute dinner break.

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 6:17 PM Local Time

Wenlong Jin has been nursing his short stack for some time now, mostly folding as he waited out others' eliminations. He had pushed all in on a couple of occasions and got no callers, but just now he was all in again from the cutoff for 340,000 and Owen Crowe called from the big blind. Cards on their backs...

Crowe

Jin

The flop came  , giving Crowe a flush draw to go with his overcards. The   turn added a gutshot straight draw, too. But the river was the  , and Jin's ducks survived.

Jin now has around 720,000, while Crowe has slipped back to 2.7 million.

From under the gun, Owen Crowe opened the pot with a 115,000-chip raise. The action folded to Chuan Shi in the small blind, who popped it to 350,000.

Crowe moved all in and Shi called.

Showdown

Crowe:

Shi:

The board ran out       and Shi doubled up. Crowe slipped to 3,225,000 and Shi is now up to 2,010,000 chips.

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 6:00 PM Local Time

Pekka Ikonen opened with a raise to 130,000 from the cutoff seat, and it folded over to Shawn Busse in the big blind. Busse riffled his chips for a moment, then pushed out a reraise to 310,000 total.

Ikonen looked like he might be committing his stack here, but after a minute of thought tossed his hand away. Busse has around 2.5 million, and Ikonen 710,000.

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 5:55 PM Local Time

The action folded to Ilya Andreev on the button, and he moved all in for about 535,000 chips.

Next to speak, Shawn Busse made the call and tabled pocket aces. Andreev showed    and without help from the       board is our 6th place finisher.

Busse is now up to 2,300,000 chips.

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 5:48 PM Local Time

No flops since that last one in which Owen Crowe check-raised Chaun Shi out of the hand.

The pattern has been either one of the two big stacks -- Crowe or Shawn Busse -- taking the blinds and antes with a standard preflop raise, or one of the other four -- Shi, Wenlong Jin, Pekka Ikonen, or Ilya Andreev -- open-raising all in(or occasionally reraising all in) and winning when the others all fold.

Of the short stacks, Shi has been the most active, but all four are still below 1 million and staring up at Crowe's 3.8 million and Busse's 2.4 million.

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 5:37 PM Local Time

Chuan Shi raised to 125,000 from the cutoff, and Owen Crowe called from the big blind.

The flop came  . Crowe checked, and Shi quickly tossed out eight green (25,000) chips in front of him -- a bet of 200,000. Crowe then announced he was reraising all in, and the 21-year-old Shi sat leaning forward on the table for a couple of minutes studying the situation.

Finally, Shi let his hand go. Crowe extends his chip lead, moving to about 3.8 million. Shi has 790,000.

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 5:19 PM Local Time

Shawn Busse opened under the gun for 125,000, and it folded to Chuan Shi who announced he was all in for his last 380,000 from the small blind. Ilya Andreev folded the BB, and after a moment Busse called.

Busse showed    and Shi   . The board ran out  , meaning Shi's hand was best. He doubles to about 800,000, while Busse is still over 2.9 million.

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 5:10 PM Local Time

Owen Crowe opened the pot with a 90,000-chip raise in middle position and the action folded to Jason Mann in the big blind.

Mann moved all in for about 600,000 chips and was called.

Showdown

Mann:

Crowe:

The board spread       and Mann is our 7th place finisher. Crowe is now up to 3,620,000 chips.

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 4:59 PM Local Time

The table had folded to Allan Bække in the small blind who announced he was all in for his entire stack of about 750,000. Shawn Busse didn't waste much time calling from the big blind.

Bække tabled    and Busse   . The flop came   and Busse was still in front. The turn was the  , giving Bække some more outs, but the river was the   and the EPT Snowfest Main Event winner was eliminated in eighth place.

With that hand, we have seen our two chip leaders entering the day -- Adam White and Bække -- become the first two eliminations at the final table.

Busse has the lead, moving up close to the 3.3 million mark.
