Melville Lewis completed for 40,000 and Vladimir Shchemelev made the call.

Shchemelev bet on fourth street and Lewis called before finding himself all in on fifth for 100,000 with Shchemelev calling as their boards ran out as follows:

Lewis:    /      /

Shchemelev:    /      /

With that pot, Lewis doubles through to over 400,000 as Shchemelev slips to 800,000 in chips.

Thursday, June 24, 2010 12:27 AM Local Time

Melville Lewis completed with a seven up, and Maxwell Troy raised with an eight. Lewis put his last 100,000 into the pot, and he was at risk as the boards were run out:

Lewis: (  )/    /( )

Troy: (  )/    /(X)

Lewis made a seventy-five to double up to 250,000, and he'll need to do that a couple more times if he hopes to hang around.

Thursday, June 24, 2010 12:12 AM Local Time

Frank Kassela completed for 40,000 and Melville Lewis made the call.

Kassela bet fourth street and Lewis called before leading on fifth with Kassela calling for his last 60,000 as both player's boards ran out as follows:

Kassela:    /      /

Lewis:    /      /

With Kassela doubling to 320,000, Lewis slips to 500,000 in chips.

Thursday, June 24, 2010 12:12 AM Local Time

Vladimir Shchemelev raised with a   showing, and Maxwell Troy raised it back with his  . Shchemelev called.

Shchemelev: (X)(X)/    /(X)

Troy:(X)(X)/    /(X)

Shchemelev bet his lead on fourth street, and he check-called a bet on fifth. Troy fired again on sixth and seventh, and Shchemelev called both bets to see the cards. Troy said, "Six," and he turned over     for a sixty-five. Shchemelv mumbled in Russian as he flashed his    , and Troy has taken the pot and the chip lead once again.

Troy - 995,000

Shchemelev - 805,000

Thursday, June 24, 2010 12:07 AM Local Time

The last ten minutes have belonged to Vladimir Shchemelev. He's won almost every pot in that span with relentless betting and raising, and he's winning pots without having to go past fourth street. This recent rush pushes him back into the chip lead with about 1.2 million.

Wednesday, June 23, 2010 11:39 PM Local Time

Maxwell Troy led every street in a heads-up pot against Vladimir Shchemelev, and it turned out well for him.

Troy: (X)(X)/    /(X)

Shchemelev: (X)(X)/    /(X)

When Shchemelev called the last bet, Troy slapped his     down on the felt, having made a sixty-four. Shchemelev couldn't beat it, and he'll relinquish the chip lead with that pot.

Troy is now occupying that position with 900,000, while Shchemelev drops back to 650,000.

Wednesday, June 23, 2010 11:34 PM Local Time

Vladimir Shchemelev completed with a three up, Frank Kassela raised with a deuce, and Shchemelev called.

Shchemelev: (X)(X)/    /(X)

Kassela:(X)(X)/    /(X)

The leading player was doing the betting the whole way with Kassela firing on fourth street and Shchemelev doing the work on fifth and sixth. Shchemelev bet again on seventh, and Kassela made one last call.

Shchemelev showed his hand: (  )/    /(Tx), and his sixty-five was good enough to take that sizable pot and move him into the chip lead with 1.23 million.

Wednesday, June 23, 2010 11:30 PM Local Time

Vladimir Shchemelev completed with a deuce up, and Maxwell Troy made it two bets back at him showing a six. Shchemelev called.

The Russian pulled an ace on fourth street, and he bet his lead, and Troy called after pulling a jack. Shchemelev bet again when he drew a three on fifth street, and Troy instantly mucked. Just for good measure, Shchemelev opened up his full hand, revealing (  )/   .

Wednesday, June 23, 2010 11:22 PM Local Time

Frank Kassela completed with a ten showing, and Melville Lewis called with a deuce in the door.

Kassela: (X)(X)/    /(X)

Lewis: (X)(X)/    /(X)

There's not much to explain on this one. Lewis bet on fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh streets, and Kassela called him down the whole way. The river call was slower than the rest, but it was the correct call. Lewis turned over     to make his jack low, and Kassela tabled     for the winning ninety-five.

With that pot, Kassela has taken the overall chip lead with exactly 1 million chips, knocking Lewis down to 420,000.

Wednesday, June 23, 2010 11:14 PM Local Time

Melville Lewis completed and Vladimir Shchemelev called before Maxwell Troy two-bet to 60,000. Lewis called, as did Shchemelev before Lewis led on fourth only to have Shchemelev call and Troy raise.

Lewis and Shchemelev again called before fifth street was checked through. Troy moved all in for his last 42,000 on sixth with both players calling and checking seventh.

Lewis: (X)(X) /      / (X)

Shchemelev: (X)(X) /      / (X)

Troy: (X)(X) /      / (X)

Troy tabled his   /  and collected the pot to more than triple through to over 520,000.

Troy: (X)(X) /      / (X)

Kassela: (X)(X) /      / (X)

Kassela made the call only to see Troy table his     to collect the pot and double to 340,000 as Kassela flashed his   (X) in the hole to slip to 626,000 in chips.

Frank Kassela was the bring-in, and he was the only player to fold on third street. Melville Lewis raised with his six up, Vladimir Shchemelev called with a four, and Maxwell Troy followed suit with his seven in the door.

Lewis: (X)(X)/    /(X)

Shchemelev: (X)(X)/    --muck--

Troy: (X)(X)/    /(X)

On fourth street, Troy bet his lead, and both opponents called. Troy bet again on fifth, and this time only Lewis called as Shchemelev elected to duck out of the way. On sixth street, Lewis took the betting lead, and Troy check-called. He check-called one more on seventh street, though he looked pained as he tanked pre-call.

Lewis said, "Eight," and he turned up his    . It was good; Troy tapped the table with his cards and then mucked, and that loss drops him back to 160,000.

Wednesday, June 23, 2010 10:18 PM Local Time

Maxwell Troy completed and Frank Kassela made the call.

Kassela fired out on fourth only to have Troy raise. Kassela called and then led once again on fifth before checking sixth as Troy called fifth before betting sixth.

Kassela obliged with a call, and then checked seventh as Troy moved all in for his last 38,000.

Troy: (X)(X) /      / (X)

Kassela: (X)(X) /      / (X)

Kassela deliberated for a few moments before making the call only to be shown Troy's     for a seven-six as Kassela flashed his     before mucking.

As Kassela dropped to around the 620,000-chip mark, Troy doubled through to 430,000 in chips.

Maxwell Troy completed, and Melville Lewis raised to two bets, both men showing a deuce up. Troy called.

Troy: (X)(X)/    /(X)

Lewis: (X)(X)/    /(X)

Lewis bet his lead on fifth street, and Troy promptly raised. When Lewis called, Troy led again on fifth and sixth streets with Lewis calling both of those bets as well. On seventh street, Troy checked, and Lewis fired the final bet. After a bit of a pause to stare, Lewis said, "All right, take it," and folded his cards under. After another second, he added, "Show a bluff, I'll give you $100 out of my pocket."

"Really?!" Lewis asked. "Nah, save your money." With that, he flashed his    , and Troy tapped the felt in acknowledgement.
