Keikoan opened for a raise and Idema called.

Idema check-raised the     flop and Keikoan called. Idema bet out when the   landed on the turn and Keikoan called. The river was the   and Keikoan called another bet from Idema.

Idema showed jack-nine for a pair of jacks, but Keikoan had him beat with queen-nine for a pair of queens. He's up to 2 million while Idema is on 3.1 million.

Idema raised, Keikoan three-bet and Idema called. Keikoan led every street on the       board and Idema called him down.

Keikoan tabled    for kings full of tens and won the pot. It's nearly even again and anybody's game.

Daniel Idema raised preflop, and Matt Keikoan called from the big blind.

The flop came out      , and Keikoan checked. He raised when Idema bet, and both players put in two bets going to the   turn. Keikoan bet, leaving himself just 50,000 behind, and Idema studied him carefully. After a few long minutes, he raised to put Keikoan all in. His opponent was up to the test:

Keikoan was guaranteed his double up before the   even hit the river, and he's back to about 1.3 million now.

Keikoan had nothing but air with    while Idema runner-runnered a nine-high straight with   , sending Keikoan back down to 750,000 in chips.

Idema check-called a bet on the       flop, but he folded to one more bet on the   turn.

On the next hand, Idema raised the button, and Keikoan called. Keikoan check-raised on the       flop, and both players put in two bets. On the   turn, Idema again folded to a Keikoan bet.

That's moved Mr. Keikoan back over a million chips and given him at least a bit of breathing room for the time being.

Both players checked the     flop. The turn was the   and Idema led out. Keikoan called and they went to the river which fell the  . Idema bet and Keikoan called.

Idema turned over    for a pair of nines and took down the pot.

After the hand, Keikoan was down to 850,000.

Matt Keikoan has been on the losing end of a few pots since the break ended, most notably this one:

Keikoan raised from the button, and Daniel Idema put in the extra bet.

The flop came out      , and both players checked. On the   turn, Idema check-called a big bet, and he checked again when the   landed on fifth street. Keikoan bet again before Idema stuck in a surprise river check-raise, his first as far as we can remember. Keikoan looked at him for an unusually long time before uncapping his cards and sending them to the muck.

Keikoan is back around 1.55 million now.

The flop came      , and Idema checked. Keikoan bet, and Idema snuck in a check-raise. Keikoan made it three bets, and Idema made it four. Keikoan called.

That brought them to the   turn, and Idema fired out again. Keikoan, undeterred, raised it right back, and Idema took a slight pause before splashing in the call.

The   filled out the board, and Idema check-tank-folded to one last Keikoan bet. The match has drawn even once again.

1. Keikoan raised from the button and Idema called. The flop was     and Keikoan led out. Idema raised and Keikoan folded.

2. Idema gave Keikoan a walk in the big blind.

3. Keikoan returned the favor and gave Idema a walk.

4. Idema raised and Keikoan called. Keikoan check-folded to Idema's bet on the     flop.

5. Keikoan raised from the button and Idema defended his big blind. Idema checked the     flop over to Keikoan who bet. Idema called. The turn was the   and both players checked. The   on the river got two more checks.

Idema showed Q-2 and it was good.

Idema = 3.5 million

Keikoan= 1.6 million

Keikoan led out on the     flop and Idema called. Keikoan fired again when the   fell on the turn and Idema called. The river was the   and Idema called one more bet from Keikoan.

Keikoan showed    and dragged the pot. He's up to 2.25 million and Idema is on 2.88 million.

Matt Keikoan raised his button, and Daniel Idema defended his big blind.

The flop brought       and a check from Idema. Keokan's bet was quickly check-raised, though, and he called the extra small bet. That brought the   on the turn, and one more bet from Idema was good enough to earn him the pot.

He's now reopened his two-to-one lead over Keikoan.

It wasn't anything significant, but after a few small chip-up pots, Daniel Idema has retaken the chip lead with about 2.9 million in front of him. The tides turn quickly with limits this large.

Keikoan check-raised to two bets on a flop of      , and Idema matched him quickly. The turn   drew a bet from Keikoan, and another one on the   river. Idema called both bets, though each one a little more slowly than the last.

At showdown, Keikoan proudly flipped up     for the set, dragging that nice pot. With it, he also grabs a pretty significant lead:

Idema: 1.9 million

Keikoan took a bit of a different line for him, leading out on the       flop, and barreling right through the   turn and   river. Idema called the flop and turn bets, but he couldn't handle the last one as he folded his cards into the muck.

The flop came out      , and Keikoan check-called a bet. He did that again when the turn came the  , and the scary   filled out the board on fifth street. Keikoan took that opportunity to fire out a leading bet of 160,000, and Idema didn't waste too much time letting his hand go.

It's very close, but that pot appears to have pushed Keikoan into a very narrow chip lead. Both men are right around 2.6 million now.
