After 30 Levels of play over three days we have a champion of Event #26; William Haydon.
On Day 1, 1,245 players packed into the Pavilion Room with hopes that they would be sitting at the final table playing for a gold bracelet and the first-place prize. Haydon was the chip leader of after Day 1 and seemingly never looked back. The former UC Davis golf player played extremely well throughout the past two days, picking his spots while always maintaining one of the bigger stacks in the room.
Haydon's first and only other cash at the WSOP came during last year's Main Event where he took home over $30,000. Today, the professional poker player from San Francisco, California has recorded his biggest live cash for $630,031.

Just a handful of hands into heads-up play, the big all-in confrontation occurred. Jeffrey Papola had been shoving in a few times, but William Haydon could never find a hand he wanted to make the call with, until this last time.
Papola moved all in with the and Haydon called him with the , having him dominated.
The flop came down and there wasn't much there for Papola, who was pushed further out the door. The turn card was the and then the river card completed the board with the . There was a few moments of silence before anyone even moved when they all realized what had just happened: Haydon won a bracelet and Papola finished in second place. Papola earned himself $391,068 for his finish while Haydon conquered Event No. 26.

All three players saw a flop of for the minimum. On the flop, William Haydon fired 180,000 and only Papola called.
The turn brought the and both players checked.
The river completed the board with the and Haydon fired 345,000. After another long tank, Papola mucked his hand.

When this hand began, the clock read just over 30 minutes. When it finished, the clock read 18 minutes, meaning this one hand took 12 minutes. What took so long? Well, we'll show you.
William Haydon raised from the small blind to 245,000. Joe Baldwin called from the big blind and the two took a flop of . Haydon fired 265,000 and Baldwin called after a little bit of a tank.
The turn card brought the and Haydon moved all in. Baldwin had roughly 1.4 million in chips and he was shoving in more than that to put Baldwin to the test. Baldwin went into the tank again, this time for over seven minutes! As we watched the clock tick away, Haydon sat waiting patiently and playing with his stack of three million or so chips. Eventually, Baldwin folded and Haydon was pushed the pot.
At this rate, we may see six hands this level.

So you might ask, what's going on? Well, nothing really. There has only been one flop and the action stopped there since returning from break. Other than that, no one is doing anything too exciting at the table. There was just a series of walks awarded to each player in the big blind. It went for three hands straight and on the third one, William Haydon got the walk and showed that he had two aces. This is the second walk with the player in the big blind holding aces during the final table.

From the button, Will Haydon raised to 175,000. Joe Baldwin reraised from the small blind to 595,000. Haydon moved all in for 1.815 million and Baldwin called.
Baldwin was in dominating position with the versus the of Haydon.
The flop was everything but a miss for Haydon when it came , giving him a pair of tens and a flush draw. The turn got even better when the fell and then the river ended things and secured his double up with the , finishing him off with a flush.

Eddy Scharf open shoved from under the gun and Jeffrey "jpapola" Papola re-shoved on the button. The blinds released and the hands were opened.

The flopped pair Scharf and the on the turn added some more outs.
Scharf stood pumping his fist trying to will a queen, jack or ten.
The river was the though and Scharf could do nothing but smile. He shook Papola's hand and headed to the cage to collect his $163,649 for 4th place.
Papola is now second in chips with 3,300,000.

Action folded to Jarred Solomon on the button. He moved all of his 1.095 million chips into the middle. William Haydon folded from the small blind and then action moved to Joe Baldwin in the big blind.
"I feel like I have to call," said Baldwin, taking a moment. He then made the call and the hands were revealed.
Solomon held the and was behind, but live against the of Baldwin.
The flop came down and Baldwin improved to a pair of aces while Solomon was left with a straight draw to broadway.
The turn card was the and then the river the . Neither of those helped Solomon despite the pleas from his railbirds and he was eliminated in fifth place, over three hours after we lost the sixth-place finisher. He took home over $110,000 for his effort.

So what's happened in the first 15 minutes since returning from break? Well, Eddy Scharf moved all in once and there were a couple of preflop raises to take down the blinds, but not much has really happened.
We did witness one flop come down and Joe Baldwin check-raised Scharf's bet of 110,000 to 260,000, but that was it. Scharf folded to the raise and we moved on the next the one.
The tournament director came over and said, "You know, this is supposed to be more agressive with six handed."

William Haydon opened to 150,000 on the button and Scharf moved in for an extra 435,000 from the big blind. Haydon thought a bit before making the call.

The flop was fairly dry, but on the turn was interesting. It gave Scharf a set, yes, but it gave Haydon four outs to a straight. Haydon made a useless pair of queens when the rivered though, and Scharf doubled to 1,200,000 chips.
Haydon is still strong with 2,900,000 chips.

From under the gun, Joe Baldwin raised to 135,000 before Jeffrey Papola reraised all in for 1.465 million total. The tournamnt staff pulled in 130,000 from Papola's stack and not 135,000, but the mistake went unnoticed. Either way, the extra 5,000 wasn't that big of a difference.
Baldwin tanked for several minutes and the flicked his hand into the muck with one of his T25,000 chips and Papola won the pot.

From under the gun, Jarred Solomon raised to 120,000 and got a call from Jeffrey Papola in the big blind. The flop came down and Papola checked. Solomon fired 180,000 and Papola called.
The turn card was the and Papola checked. Solomon tanked for some time before firing 550,000. Papola wasted little time in folding and Solomon scooped the pot. He moved to 1.8 million while Papola dropped to 1.4 million.

The flop fell and Haydon led for 85,000. Baldwin got out of the way and Papola raised to 210,000. Haydon didn't budge though, instead he re-raised to 465,000 forcing Papola to fold.
Haydon is now up to 3,460,000 chips.

Joe Baldwin was in the small blind and four-bet to 600,000, his second big four-bet of this final table. Solomon folded and then after a little bit of time in the tank, Haydon moved all in for 2,025,000. Baldwin tanked for a couple of minutes and then folded the face up. He dropped to 1.85 million in chips while Haydon increased to nearly three million.
