It looks like the Brits are celebrating a little prematurely. The entourage of Sam Trickett have just ordered at least a half dozen bottles of champagne and a lovely little strawberry and cream platter to enjoy while they watch the conclusion of this final table.
At the moment it looks like they're in negotiations as to who will actually be paying. James Akenhead appears to have drawn the short straw.

Jason DeWitt raised it up from under the gun to 240,000 with Peter Gilmore making the call on the button.
The flop of was checked by both players before the hit the turn. DeWitt checked and Gilmore fired 250,000. After a few moments of deliberation DeWitt announced a check-raise to 625,000. Gilmore made the call as a silence fell across the crowd as a massive pot was brewing.
The river put an out there to add to the suspense. Again DeWitt sat quietly for a good minute or two before firing 775,000. Now it was Gilmore's turn in the tank, and according to the clock, this hand had already taken eight minutes until this point.
Gilmore eventually let it go and DeWitt takes the first pot of the new level. Gilmore is down to 1.37 million with DeWitt up to 3.5 million

Despite allowing Jason DeWitt to catch a lucky flop in the previous hand, Sam Trickett continued his limping ways from the small blind and DeWitt tapped the table to see a cheap flop of .
Trickett bet out 105,000 however DeWitt announced a raise of an additional 220,000. It was enough as Trickett quickly gave it up.

Sam Trickett limped in from the small blind and Jason DeWitt checked his option in the big blind. They took a flop of and Trickett checked, then called the 85,000-chip bet of DeWitt.
The turn brought the and again it was check, bet, call, this time for 235,000.
The pot was already sizable when the put an interesting board out there. Trickett checked, DeWitt tank-bet 350,000 and Trickett tank-called. Our hopes of quads versus straight flush were dashed as DeWitt showed for threes full of fives to take it down. He's up to 2.4 million.

"All in" seems to be the move of the moment, but recently we've been missing any callers as the short stacks fight hard to stay in contention.
During the last orbit, Jason DeWitt moved all in twice, once from the small blind and once from the big blind, but failed to find a caller, while Jeff Williams collected some chips with the same move against Sam Trickett. Williams limped his small blind before Trickett raised another 125,000 from the big blind. Williams shoved and Tricket gave it up.
Williams is back up to 2.5 million chips.

In a battle of the blinds, Sam Trickett limped in from the small blind and Jason DeWitt tapped the table behind.
They saw a flop of and Trickett fired out a bet of 105,000. DeWitt made the call. Both players checked the turn before the completed the board on the river.
Trickett let go with a sizable 525,000-chip bet which got DeWitt thinking. Neither of these guys liked to be rushed over their decisions. After several minutes, DeWitt flicked his cards back to the dealer as Trickett extends his chip advantage.

David Benefield moved all in for his last 565,000 and Sam Trickett made the call on the button. Peter Gilmore thought long and hard in the big blind before also making the call.
The crowd roared in anticipation as the flop landed . Both live players checked and then again on the turn and river.
At showdown Trickett showed which was the best hand as Gilmore flashed and Benefield .
Benefield is sent to the rail in 6th place for a nice collect of $135,718.

Jeff Williams has been three-betting like a madman all day today, but he just copped some of his own medicine. After opening to 140,000, Sam Trickett re-raised to 350,000 and Williams decided to give it up.
Williams has now relinquished the chip lead to the young Brit who has played exceptionally well on this final table.

The turn was the and it went check, check, before Gilmore fired 125,000 on the river. Benefield wasn't done just yet as he raised it up to 360,000. Gilmore cut down the calling chips and tossed them into the pot, much to the disappointment of Benefield who tossed his cards straight into the muck in resignation.
