Deepak Bhatti raised in the cutoff, but was met with a push from Isaac Settle in the big blind. He quickly passed, and Settle took the pot.

Wednesday, June 2, 2010 3:35 PM Local Time

Cory Brown raised to 150,000, but to his immediate left barring the dealer, Dash Dudley made it 400,000 to go. Brown peered around the dealer to ascertain that Dudley had around a million chips behind, and after a few moments he gave it up.

Wednesday, June 2, 2010 3:27 PM Local Time

Nothing too exciting a the moment. In one hand, Dash Dudley defended his small blind to a raise from Gabe Costner, before checking down a       board with jacks. Costner had nines.

A hand or two later, Nicholas Mitchell raised to 155,000 from the small blind and Deepak Bhatti called. Both players checked the     flop, only for Mitchell to take it down with a bet of 175,000 on the   turn.

Wednesday, June 2, 2010 3:21 PM Local Time

Nick Mitchell opened for 130,000, and to his immediate left, perma-short-stacked Deepak Bhatti pushed all in for 640,000. Everyone else got out of their way, and it was back to Mitchell, who nodded and made the call.

Mitchell:

Bhatti: dominating with

Board:

There was no nastiness from anything on the board, and Bhatti duly doubled to around 1.4 million. Mitchell's rail became noticeably quieter as their boy dropped to around 1.3 million.

First of many, by the looks of it.

Back in 20.

With father Irving swallowing the final table bubble last night, Richard Rice has become the second Rice (or should the singular be Rie?) to be eliminated from Event #3, picking up $51,735 for his troubles.

It was fan favourite Nicholas Mitchell who kick-started the action, opening for a raise of 110,000 with    from early to mid position. Rice moved in a few seats down for a total of 575,000 with   , and Mitchell, after a brief pause, made the call.

After a       board, the Frat Pack erupted like Mount Vesuvius as their boy Mitchell picked up the pot. Rice, meanwhile, departed with a smile, and to a ncie ripple of applause.

Wednesday, June 2, 2010 2:44 PM Local Time

Dash Dudley shoved in early position for his last 430,000, and although it took a very long time for everyone else to fold, fold they did, and Dudley bumped his stack to 550,000.

So next hand, under the gun this time, Dudley shoved again. This time Bart Davis made the call. Everyone else folded, and they flipped their cards.

Dudley:

Davis:

"Ace!" shouted Dudley and accidentally knocked his chair over. He ran over to Joe Cada, perched at the rail, and touched him for good luck.

"ACE!!!" Dudley continued to order the deck as the dealer prepared to put some community cards on the board, but it would be the queen that saved him.

Board:

Dudley thanked Cada for his good luck with a high five as he doubled to around 1.2 million. Davis dropped to around 1.35 million.

Wednesday, June 2, 2010 2:32 PM Local Time

It's been a tough day for Dash Dudley who finds himself down to just 335,000. But he's still hanging in; he just pushed all in from the button to pick up the blinds and antes uncontested.

With Deepak Bhatti doubling through, Dudley remains the short stack at the table.

Wednesday, June 2, 2010 2:31 PM Local Time

The action folded around to Deepak Bhatti who moved all in from early to mid position for 270,000 with   . Cory Brown announced all in from the small blind with   , allowing Dash Dudley to make an easy fold with    in the big.

The     flop brought more action than a Die Hard Boxset with Brown spiking top pair, but Bhatti flopping both a nut flush and Broadway straight draw. The   was as raggy as an old dishcloth, but the   brought the straight to double Bhatti up to around the 575,000 mark.

After a lengthy period of every pot being taken down by a simple preflop raise, it folded around to Isaac Settle in the small blind who just completed. Cory Brown checked his big blind, and they saw a flop.

The flop came down     and Settle bet out 65,000. Brown made the call.

Settle bet out another 75,000 on the   turn and a further 75,000 on the  . Brown called both streets and turned over    for a pair of queens. Settle however flipped    for an open-ended straight draw on the flop that had morphed into a flush by the river, and took the pot.

Settle was up to around a million in chips after that.

Wednesday, June 2, 2010 2:19 PM Local Time

After over 30 minutes of play, our first big pot finally arrived with Dash Dudley raising to 110,000 from the hijack and Gabe Costner making the call in the big blind.

The flop came    , and with his hands clenched in front of his jaw in true Phil Hellmuth style, Costner checked. Dash was less hospitable, however, and made a continuation bet of 140,000, which Costner called.

On the   turn, both players checked, leading to a   river where Costner turned aggressor by sliding 350,000 across the felt. As Dudley mulled over his options, Costner remained as cool as the other side of the pillow and it was tough to know if he wanted a call or not. In the end, we found our answer as Dudley matched the bet, only to be shown    for "the second nut flush", as the announcer correctly observed.

Wednesday, June 2, 2010 2:10 PM Local Time

Deepak Bhatti, our short stack at the start of the day, had been blinded and anted down to just 280,000 when he open-shoved from the hijack.

Cutoff and button folded swiftly, but small blind and chip leader Aadam Daya thought about it for a long time. Eventually, though, he passed. Big blind Isaac Settle also gave it the tank treatment, but he folded too and Bhatti stayed precariously in the game.

Wednesday, June 2, 2010 2:05 PM Local Time

There are plenty of interested parties here, but the gent with the most vocal rail, at least, is Nick Mitchell. Mitchell just turned 21, and this is his first ever WSOP event. Not a bad result for him however it turns out.

"Nick Mitchell, you wanna beer?" came the cry from the corner. Mitchell sniggered a little, but declined.

Then next hand, "Nick Mitchell on the but-ton!" The rail wasn't treated to any Mitchell action that time, though.

A couple hands later, and Mitchell raised to 110,000 in the hijack. Small blind Richard Rice eyed him up amusedly, but eventually folded; big blind Aadam Daya folded too and the blinds and antes went to Mitchell uncontested.

"Card rack!" cried a member of Mitchell's beered-up rail.

Wednesday, June 2, 2010 1:54 PM Local Time

Cory Brown may have decided that Aadam Daya was stepping out of line, as within one orbit, Daya made his third raise (this time to 100,000) and Brown called. On the     flop, Daya checked, Brown bet 200,000, and Daya relinquished his hand.

Despite his chip lead, Daya might rue having Brown to his left.

As expected, it's been a cagey start with no flops seen. Bart Davis, Nicholas Mitchell and Richard Rice (all in) have all taken it turns to snap up the blinds, but the main aggressor seems to be chip leader Aadam Daya who is hs either decided to come out firing, or is simply finding hands.

With 14 minutes left of this level, cards are in the air.

Good luck, all!

Wednesday, June 2, 2010 1:18 PM Local Time

Good afternoon and welcome back to the Amazon Room where in around 15 minutes' time our final nine will be setting out on the final leg of their bid for a bracelet.

Aadam Daya probably had the best night's sleep of all our finalists - he was our chip leader by a half-million margin as players bagged up last night, giving him the right to rest easy. However this is by no means a done deal yet, as every player who's made it this far has already proved themselves forces to be reckoned with.

Bags are at the table, and players are due to arrive any minute. Watch this space.
