2023 WSOP Hands of the Week: Royal Flush Over Quads; KK < KK & 4-of-a-Kind for Seidel
The 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) kicked off back on May 30, and now bracelet winners are being minted every day. The PokerNews Live Reporting Team has been busy capturing all the action in our live updates, and they've witnessed some hands go down that proved to be either entertaining, game-changing or just flat out brutal.

Calling the Clock Episode #8: Ivey Denied 11th Bracelet, Hellmuth Arrives in Costume
On the eighth episode of "Calling the Clock," Chad Holloway and Jesse Fullen cover eight more topics "On the Board." That included who they like for Poker Hall of Fame, Brian Rast winning the $50,000 Poker Players Championship for the third time, and Phil Ivey making the final table, just missing out on his eleventh bracelet.

Let's Get Crazy! $888 No-Limit Hold'em Crazy 8's Set to Kick Off
WSOP.com players in Nevada and New Jersey have another chance to earn a WSOP bracelet today, as Online Event #11: $888 No-Limit Hold'em Crazy 8's kicks off at 3:30 p.m. local time.
With under an hour to go before the tournament starts, 53 players are registered. That number is sure to go up, as late registration will be available for four and a half hours once the tournament is underway. Players will also be allowed to rebuy up to three times before the late registration window closes.
Ryan "GoFeltaFish2" Eriquezzo, who won Online Event #10: $400 No-Limit Ultra Deepstack just two days ago, is already registered. Eriquezzo will be looking to win bracelets in back-to-back events. Other names already registered include Russel "Tommy_Nubs" Mcclean, Vinny "brownmagic" Pahuja, and Michael "SnakePlisken" Bees.
The winner of this event would surely appreciate the chance to follow in the footsteps of Ian "IanMa" Matakis, winner of Online Event #2: $500 No-Limit Hold'em Bankroll Builder. Matakis has parlayed his maiden bracelet victory into a white-hot summer, and currently sits in second place in the WSOP Player of the Year standings.
Entrants will start with 15,000 in chips, and will play 15-minute levels starting at 25/50 until a champion is crowned. Five-minute breaks will occur at 55 minutes past each hour.
