Final Numbers Confirmed

The final number of entrants in Day 1b is 4,116, meaning 618 players will be in the money tonight, with each player receiving a minimum cash of $960.

Once players have bagged and tagged tonight the remaining prize pool will be combined with Day 1a and a fresh prize pool will be produced for the morning of Day 2.

Maguire Takes a Chunk off Saout

With 42,000 in the middle on the flop of    , Antoine Saout bet 22,000 from the button and was met with a check-raise from Christopher Maguire in early position for 52,000 which was called by Saout.

The   turn brought a second flush draw to the table and Maguire moved all in, which would put Saout at risk for 143,000. The Frenchman went deep into the tank and eventually found the fold and the dealer pushed the chips Maguire's way.

The early position player bet 17,000 and Kevin Vega moved all in for 63,000 from the button. Early position made the call.

Ottenio Takes Pot with Two Pair

The board reading      at the turn was on the felt when Federico Ottenio bet 14,000 in the small blind. His opponent in late position called, and   was revealed on the river.

Ottenio confidently bet 28,000, and his opponent once again called as Ottenio revealed    to hit two pair of Jacks and sixes while his opposition decided to muck his hand.

Salter Takes Down A Huge One

Action was picked up on the river in a massive hand between Adrian Salter in the hijack and another player in the cutoff.

The board read       and Salter bet 26,000 which saw his opponent raise all in for 104,000 which sent Salter into the tank. He pondered the call for some time before saying "let's go," and putting the call in the middle.

Cajelais Takes a Chunk Off Kassouf

William Kassouf

William Kassouf was facing an all in raise preflop, against Erik Cajeslais, with Kassouf covering.

As usual, Kassouf offered plenty of commentary, stating, "This is gonna be a flip" and "I know you have ace-king" amongst lots of other patter. Eventually Kassouf said, "I can't fold these" and made the call.

Richards Jams The Flop

A player raised to 10,000 from the button and in the big blind, Mikhaile Richards called.

The flop came out     and Richards checked over to her opponent who continued for 15,000.

Richards thought about her decision for a bit before deciding to commit her whole stack to the pot, eliciting a quick fold from her opponent as she raked in the pot.

Taking a seat on her immediate left shortly after that was Melanie Weisner.

Zambas Out Pips Opponent

Haris Zambas

Under the gun and early position limped and was met with a shove from Haris Zambas on the button for 54,500. Under the gun called and early position open folded   .

Zambas had his opponent crushed and the runout of       awarded the pot to the Cypriot, whilst the early position player was questioning themself if they should have been braver.

Zambas is fresh from his biggest-ever recorded cash, scoring $40,000 in the Main Event.

Zhang Grabs A Double

The player in early position bet 8,000 and was called by the small blind. Jiaming Zhang in the big blind moved all in for 31,500 and was called by early position. The small blind went deep into the tank but elected to fold.

Zhang was ahead and flopped the world when the dealer tabled     for trip aces, but early position did pick up a flush draw. But the    completed the board and Zhang completed the double up.

Kniep Doubles Up

Andreas Kniep went all in from the cutoff, for 47,000 — and was called by the big blind, who covered.

The flop fell     giving Kniep an open-ended straight draw. A   on the turn instantly completed that draw and Kniep celebrated good-naturedly.

The river was a meaningless  , though Kniep did point out that the board would have been a lot more interesting, if it had it run out the other way round.

Haran Calls Correctly

Shachar Haran raised to 6,000 preflop and received four callers.

On a     flop, action was checked to Lara Eisenberg on the button, who bet 7,000. The big blind came along, as did Haran.

A turn, which fell the  , was checked all round and the river came a  . Action was checked to Eisenberg once more, and she put out a bet of 13,000.

The big blind folded and Haram thought for half a minute or so before finding the call. Eisenberg tabled    but Haran turned over    and his ace was enough to claim the pot.

Wilson Shove Gets Through

Collin Wilson bet 6,000 from middle position and was raised to 16,000 from the cutoff, which was called by Wilson.

Wilson checked in the dark and the cutoff checked the     flop. Wilson led out for 15,000 on the   turn and was called by the cutoff.

The   landed on the river putting a four-liner onboard. Wilson moved all-in putting the cutoff at risk for 46,000. The cutoff thought better of it and folded their hand.

Ward Sets It Up

Jared Ward raised to 6,000 from under the gun and a player one seat over called which saw the button call as well.

The flop of     saw Ward check over to his neighbor who bet 25,000 which saw the button fold and Ward moved all in for 59,000 which his opponent called.
