On the latest The Chad & Jesse Poker Show[/I][/B] straight from the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP), Chad Holloway & Jesse Fullen are joined by none other than Daniel Negreanu, who took a break from his busy summer schedule to talk about a plethora of topics including what it's been like running deep in the lower buy-in, big field events, interacting with fans, and how he feels about his performance thus far.

The GGPoker Ambassador also offers his thoughts on the Poker Hall of Fame, including who he thinks will get in and the changes he'd like to see moving forward. Finally, "Kid Poker" offers his prediction for the 2023 WSOP Main Event, which is also the first big topic discussed by the hosts.

Toyoshima Eliminates Two Players

Action was recapped with by the table.

With two players moving all in from early position, two players called in the blinds including Akihisa Toyoshima in the big blind.

The flop came out     and Toyoshima moved all in which his opponent called and a pot of 1,300,000 was created.

All the chips went into the middle preflop, with Neil Higgins at risk for 228,000 from middle position. He was covered by the button.

Chait Forces a Laydown

Craig Chait

Craig Chait went to the flop against one opponent, who was on the button.

The dealer fanned     and Chait swiftly went all in for around 300,000.

His opponent went into the tank, engaging in lots of speech play while deliberating his next move. Eventually he decided that discretion was the better part of valor, and folded his hand.

Cajelais Cranking Up Pressure at Bubble

The button bet 32,000 and Erik Cajelais bet 80,000 from the small blind. The button made the call.

The flop came     and Cajelais down-bet to 60,000 and was called by the button. The   landed on the turn and Cajelais continued for 150,000. This was too much for the button who folded. Cajelais showed the   to show he was not fooling around.

Salter Over One Million

Action was picked up with cards on their backs with Adrian Salter having another player all in and at risk for his last 210,000.

The board ran out       and another player at the table said "chop it up," without realizing that Salter had made a straight to scoop the whole pot.

Salter now sits with one of the biggest stacks in the tournament.

Majarais Gets Huge Pot Before Bubble

All the chips went into the middle preflop with Michael Majarais on the button calling the shove of the small blind for 257,000 which Majarais covered.

Majarais had to fade an open-ended straight draw, but managed to hold after the runout of       to knockout the small blind on the verge of the bubble.

Easy Peasy for Veazey

The under-the-gun player limped and the early position player raised to 20,000 which Robert Veazey called on the button, as did the small blind and under-the-gun player.

The flop of     saw the action checked to Veazey who bet 80,000. The early position player moved all in for 91,000 which was called by Veazey and everyone else folded.

Veazey was in a dominant position with top pair, and there was no help for early position as the    completed the board.

After the hand Veazey revealed in the previous hand that his pocket queens improved to quads to knock a player out and is now among the chip leaders.

Su Turns the Screw

An early position raise to 21,000, was called by both blinds.

The flop fell     was checked in all three spots.

Andy Su in the small blind, checked again on a   turn. The big blind made it 25,000 to go and the initial raiser got out of the way. Su called.

The river came   and got two more checks. Su declared, "one pair" and tabled   . His opponent flashed    before throwing them in the muck.
