Malboubi Leads The Day 1b Field Into Day 2 Of The Ultra Stack
After 22 levels of play in Day 1b of Event #81: $600 Ultra Stack No-Limit Hold'em, a total of 312 have bagged from the flight to play tomorrow. A total of 4,116 came to register this flight, bringing the overall field total to 7,207, ensuring a hefty prizepool to play for the next two days of this event.
Leading the way is Rassoul Malboubi who ended his day with 3,615,000. A late in the day surge saw Malboubi acquire many chips, including one hand where his ace-queen got there against pocket jacks. With $180,249 in lifetime earnings, Malboubi has one prior WSOP final table from this year's super seniors event. With this chip lead, he looks to add another deep run to his WSOP resume.

Not all were able to make the money today. Many notables like Melanie Weisner, Ralph Massey, Rob Wazwaz, Kirk Acevedo, Harry Lodge and Richard Seymour all saw their hopes for a bracelet dashed.
After the money bubble burst, even more notables found themselves eliminated, like Alexandre Vuilleumier, and Ray Henson. Their hopes for a bracelet this summer will have to come in the following few events.
Players will return on July 13 at 10:00 a.m. local time, coming back to Level 23 with blinds at 20,000/40,000 with a 40,000 big blind ante.
