Crooks And Neff Lead The Final 14 Into Day 3 Of Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 Or Better
After 10 levels of play, a final number of 14 players survived out of the 203 that began the day in Event #58: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better at the 2022 World Series of Poker. The remaining players are all guaranteed $12,458, but all eyes are set on the $289,610 to first place and the coveted WSOP bracelet.
Leading the way is Richard Crooks, who ended the day with 6,440,000. The Illinois resident has never cashed in a WSOP event and is setting his sights on his first one being a bracelet. Already guaranteed $12,458 for his best cash of all, he leads the pack seeking his first bracelet.

The road will not be easy, as nipping at his heels is Peter Neff with 6,110,000. Neff boasts an impressive $2,156,578 in lifetime earnings but is also seeking his first bracelet. Many of his chips were acquired prior to the two-table redraw when he scooped Veerachai Vongxaiburana for a pot worth close to five million chips.

WSOP bracelet winners Joey Couden(2,675,000), Jerry Odeen (1,935,000), and Jared Jaffee(875,000) all are looking to add themselves to the list of two-time bracelet winners and will be among the 14 returning to Day 2 tomorrow.
Action of the day
The day began fast and within 10 minutes, the tournament was hand for hand. It ended up being Jacob Brundage going out on the bubble when he posted his big blind, which put himself all in against Darryll Fish. Fish flopped three deuces and left Brundage drawing to running three of a kind, which did not come and the remaining 196 players were all guaranteed $2,404.
Defending champion Kevin Gerhart was not able to make the third day of this event, as his run for a title defense ended in 142nd place for $2,629. Other players that saw their cashes fall short included Jeff Lisandro (103rd-$3,184), Dan Zack (48th-$5,294), Alex Foxen (33rd-$7,161), Nathan Gamble (20th-$10,222) and start of day chip leader Justin Liberto (17th-$10,222). The final elimination of the night saw William Slaght end his run in 15th place for $12,458.
Play will resume on June 29 at 2 p.m. for Event #58: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Eight Or Better at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas. Play will begin on Level 26 with blinds at 30,000/60,000 with a big blind ante of 60,000. Levels will be one hour long and players will take 15-minute breaks after every two levels, with a 60-minute dinner break occurring at the conclusion of Level 31.
