WSOP Chips

Registration has closed with a total of 329 entrants, which is a nice increase from the 260 entrants from the 2021 edition of this tournament.

The amount of entries has created a prizepool of $439,215. The top 50 players will be paid, with a min-cash being worth $2,415 and the grand prize is an impressive six-figure score of $103,282.

Mike Ungurean bet 2,000 on both fifth and sixth streets which Maxx Coleman both called. On seventh street action went check-check.

Ungurean showed kings and jacks which was the winner as Coleman mucked and was left with just a few chips, which he would lose all of on the very next hand, also to Ungurean who now has a large stack.

On sixth street, Kenneth Po bet 2,000, Robert Turner called. On seventh, Turner bet 2,000 after Po checked. Po thought it out as he looked at the four to a straight showing and at his own pair while checking his cards. Eventually he folded and Turner won the chips.

Seventh street came and Nyman was the one to bet 1,600. Schultz thought for several moments before eventually calling and he saw the bad news as Nyman tabled the boat, nines full of threes as Schultz was left short.

Allen Kessler called the PokerNews team over as he was moving all in for 2,900 chips. Next to act Shirley Rosario called and another player called.

There was a side pot to play for and Rosario kept the aggression on the third player, betting 1,600 on both fifth and sixth streets. On seventh, the third player in the pot announced ''You got it'', and folded when Rosario bet 3,200 on seventh street.

Action was picked up as fifth street was being dealt with lots of diamonds showing. Todd Ickow bet with the lead on fifth and David Bach called to commit the rest of his chips.

Both players turned over their cards to show that Bach was leading with a pair of tens while Ickow had fives and the diamond flush draw, although three diamonds were being used in Bach's hand.

Bach got the   on sixth street and Ickow got the   to not change much for either player.

Seventh street was dealt face down. Ickow peeled and said "Oh I hit it on you" as he turned over the   for a set of fives. While Bach had a blank with the   and he was eliminated.

On sixth street, Joeseph Bowers had check called a bet of 1,200 chips from his opponent.
When on seventh, he bet when checked to, 1,200 chips, getting the call and pot when he showed his flush that came in.

Action came in on fifth street where Ken Schetter called the bet of 1,200 from his opponent.

Sixth street gave Schetter a pair of deuces while his opponent still had the lead with the pair of tens showing, Schetter called another bet of 1,200.

Schetter raised the seventh street bet and was called. Schetter showed the flush, which he said that he got on seventh street. His opponent check his cards in visible frustration and flashed the   for trip tens before mucking the rest.
