Bleznick Coolers Sinn, Takes Chip Lead

Jared Bleznick raised to 60,000 preflop from middle position and was called by Charles Sinn on the button and Laszlo Bujtas in the big blind. The flop came     and action checked to Sinn, who bet 150,000.

Bujtas called, as did Bleznick to see the   turn. This time Bleznick announced pot to 665,000. Sinn immediately threw in two time chips and spent a few moments considering the decision before calling for the rest of his chips. Bujtas got out of the way.

Both players had turned a straight, but Bleznick's broadway was best. The river came the   and Bleznick knocked out Sinn while climbing up to 2,500,000.

Negreanu Applies Pressure to Petersen

Alexander Petersen raised to 50,000 from middle position before Daniel Negreanu, in the cutoff, announced pot to 185,000. Action folded back around to Petersen, who called to see the flop.

The flop came     and Petersen checked to Negreanu, who bet 325,000. Petersen asked how much Negreanu had behind and used a time bank chip before flicking his cards into the muck. Negreanu claimed to have double-suited aces as he dragged in the pot.

Hecklen Takes Out Wolff Set Over Set

Charles Sinn bet 50,000 on a flop of     and Henrik Hecklen called. From the button, George Wolff raised to 300,000 and Sinn folded. Hecklen announced pot and Wolff relucantly called off his last 180,000.

"Do you have kings," Wolff asked before Hecklen showed him the bad news as he had     . Wolff had      for a set of jacks.

The board ran out    and Wolff was eliminated.

Bleznick Has Cates Talking to Himself

A big pot had already developed by the     flop when Jared Bleznick slid forward a tower of chips, easily covering Dan Cates' remaining 350,000.

"Am I really going to lose to this guy," Cates said. "I have a really spicy hand."

The shot clock kept ticking on Cates past the 90 second mark before he finally released his hand. Bleznick threw his cards across the table and allowed Cates to peek at them.

The dealer turned over      with another club for top two pair and a flush draw and Bleznick dragged in the pot.

Nut Flush for Cochrane, Mysterious Origins of Negreanu's Nickname Revealed

Dan Cates opened on the button and Daniel Negreanu called in the small blind, as did Gavin Cochrane in the big blind.

"Daniel, why do they call you 'Kid Poker'?" Cates asked Negreanu before the flop came down.

"Because when I started I was one of the younger guys," Negreanu replied.

The flop came     and all three players checked. Negreanu led out with a bet of 100,000 on the   turn and Cochrane called.

"Alright, you wanna f*** with the Jungle!" Cates exclaimed before calling.

Negreanu checked on the   river and Cochrane bet 300,000. Cates called and Negreanu folded.

"I have the second nuts," said Cates, who then mucked when Cochrane showed      for the nut flush.

Arieh Can't Get Rid of Petersen

Josh Arieh raised to 60,000 from the cutoff and got two callers, Kyle Bowker in the small blind and Alexander Petersen in the big blind. The flop came     and action checked to Arieh, who bet 75,000. Only Petersen called.

Arieh bet another 150,000 on the   turn and again Petersen called to the   river. Both players checked.

Petersen showed      for the flopped flush. Arieh gave one last long look back at his hand before tossing the cards back to the dealer.

Bleznick, Negreanu Chop Up Song

Daniel Negreanu and Jared Bleznick limped in before Michael Song moved all in for his last 35,000. Adam Hendrix and Dan Cates called from the blinds, as did Negreanu and Bleznick.

The flop came     and Negreanu bet 100,000. Only Bleznick called to see the   turn, when Negreanu bet another 350,000.

Bleznick again called, then both players checked the   river.

Negreanu showed      and Bleznick      for the same straight. "Straight is good," Song said, tapping the table and making his exit from the tournament.

Frank Crivello moved all-in preflop in a heads-up pot against Scott Seiver on a flop of    . Seiver called with his opponent well-covered.

Crivello was ahead with aces, but the turn brought the   to catapult Seiver into the lead. The   on the river didn't change things and Crivello was sent to the rail in brutal fashion.

Sinn Shoves, Aleksandrovski Uses Time Chips

Heads-up on the turn with the board showing     , Charles Sinn bet 150,000 from the button. Alex Aleksandrovski was in the small blind and used a time chip before calling.

The river came the   and Aleksandrovski checked. Sinn shoved all in for 350,000 and sent Aleksandrovski deep into the tank. After nearly two minutes and three time banks, Aleksandrovski eventually folded.

Deeb Doubles In Set Over Set Hand

Shaun Deeb opened to 35,000 in the cutoff and Cliff Josephy and Ka Kwan Lau both called.

Deeb bet 150,000 when checked to on the flop of     and Josephy raised to around 400,000. Lau folded and Deeb moved all-in. Josephy called with Deeb covered.

Deeb had a set of queens while Josephy was drawing very thin with a set of tens. Deeb maintained the best hand after the    runout and doubled up, while Josephy was left with mere crumbs.

Hellmuth Gets It In Far Behind

Alex Aleksandrovski raised to 40,000 and Ben Lamb called. Phil Hellmuth then raised to 180,000, Aleksandrovski potted, Lamb folded, and Hellmuth called all in for 285,000.

"Nice hand, buddy. I'm in bad shape," Hellmuth said after seeing Aleksandrovski's aces. Lamb expressed surprise at Hellmuth's hand.

"I was going for it," Hellmuth replied.

The     flop improved Hellmuth to trip eights, and he stayed ahead on the    turn and river.

"I had no idea you could get it in that bad in PLO," tablemate Chance Kornuth said after the hand.

Dan Cates opened the pot with a raise to 45,000 from the button and Daniel Negreanu called from the small blind. Noah Schwartz, in the big blind, re-raised to 180,000. Cates quickly folded, but Negreanu called.

"Good luck, Noah," Negreanu said.

"I would say the same, but you're not really the guy I want to beat me," Schwartz replied.

The flop came     and Negreanu bet 80,000. Schwartz called all in with     , while Negreanu showed      for an inferior two pair.

The board ran out    and Negreanu handed over the double-up to Schwartz.

Jared Bleznick opened to 40,000 in the cutoff and Adam Hendrix called from the small blind.

Hendrix checked on the     flop and Bleznick bet 45,000. Hendrix called. Hendrix checked on the   turn and Bleznick checked back.

Seiver Pots the Flop

Day 1 chip leader Laszlo Bujtas raised to 40,000 from the button and Scott Seiver and Chance Kornuth came along from the blinds. Seiver checked the     flop and Kornuth led out for 65,000.

Bujtas called, then Seiver announced pot to 395,000. Kornuth quickly folded, as did Bujtas after a brief tank.

Karakitukov Takes an Early Pot

Anthony Zinno opened to 50,000 in middle position and Veselin Karakitukov flat-called on the button. Charles Sinn then three-bet to 200,000 from the small blind and only Karakitukov called.

Sinn checked on the flop of     and Karakitukov moved all-in for around 400,000. Sinn folded, but it wasn't all bad news as the cocktail server had arrived with his golden beverage.
