Koh and Failla Chop Up in Three-Way Action

The cards of the third player in the hand were already in the muck as the main pot between Will Failla and Norbert Koh was chopped. However, Koh with the    claimed the side pot as he knocked out an opponent with a superior full house on the       board. Failla had the equally strong    and the third player in the hand ran out of chips with pocket jacks in a hand that took place just before the break.

Vogelsang Finds Value on the River

Christoph Vogelsang raised it up from middle position and the player on his left stuck in a three-bet. The action folded back to Vogelsang who just called to see a flop of    .

Vogelsang checked to his opponent who bet 30,000 into a pot of around 75,000. Vogelsang called and the   landed on the turn. Both players checked and the   completed the board. Vogelsang paused for a couple of minutes before sticking in a bet of 45,000. His opponent called and Vogelsang turned over    to claim the pot.

Bedir Shows the Bluff

The flop read     with around 80,000 in the middle.

The player in the big blind had bet but Selahaddin Bedir raised it up to 49,000 from the button. His opponent reraised to 102,000 for Bedir to tank for a while. He counted out his stack and then opted to make the call.

The turn was the   and the big blind took some time before deciding to check. Bedir took a few seconds and then shoved with the slightly bigger stack. His opponent dived deep into the tank, glanced at his own stack of around 240,000, and took some more time. In the end, he opted to push his cards towards the muck for the fold.

Bedir flipped over the    for the bluff for the whole table to gasp and look bewildered.

"What just happened?" one of the players wondered.

Ostapchenko Busts One; Doubles Too

A short stack jammed for the last 79,000 and the hijack called. Andrew Ostapchenko then min-clicked on the button without putting the correct amount of chips in and Keith Lehr quickly remarked that the reraise had to be for 69,000 more. The hijack called and instantly shoved the     flop, which Ostapchenko called for his last 223,000.

The   turn changed nothing, nor did the   river, and Ostapchenko reduced the field by one while also securing a full double-up through the hijack.

Liu Pays Off Kachan

Xuan Liu opened to 11,000 in middle position and was called by Mike Kachan on the button. The flop came     and both players checked to the   on the turn.

Liu checked again and Kachan threw in a bet of 13,000 which Liu called. The   paired the board on the river and Liu checked for the third time. Kachan made a small bet of 18,000 and tried to make himself look as uncomfortable as possible. Liu eventually made the call and Kachan turned over    for two pair which took down the pot.

Cai Loses Some; One Robinson Remains

Jessica Cai bet the      turn for 35,000 and her table neighbour then raised it up to 93,000. Cai studied the stack of her opponent carefully and opted to fold.

Todd Witteles got through with a cold four-bet jam for 107,500 as Yueqi Zhu and three-bettor Florian Fuchs let go.
