Volpe Calls a Three-Bet, Folds the Flop

Paul Volpe opened under the gun to 3,700 and his opponent asked how much he was playing before three-betting to 8,700.

Volpe called to see the flop     but then check-folded to a bet of 8,200.

Wirsch Cracks Aces, Checks It Down

Evan Wirsch three-bet from the small blind over an opening raise from Ross Feldman on the button. Feldman came back with a four-bet to 31,000 and Wirsch called.

The flop came     and Wirsch check-called a bet of 25,000. Both players checked the   turn, then checked again when the   came on the river.

Wirsch showed    for a flopped set that turned into a full house on the river, while Feldman flashed two aces before tossing them into the muck.

Cornell Takes it on the River

Tyler Cornell

Tyler Cornell raised to 3,600 in early position and the big blind defended.

The flop came     and once checked to Cornell continued for 2,300 and his opponent called.

The   hit the turn and both players checked to see the  . The big blind checked for the third time and Cornell fired out a bet of 8,000, which was enough to take down the pot.

Four-Bet from Raina

Jesse Lonis opened to 3,500 in middle position and Kenny Tran three-bet to 8,500 in the cutoff. Gaurav Raina on the button then cold four-bet to 22,000 and both opponents quickly folded.

Raina showed his opponents ace-king offsuit and collected the pot.

Hassan Eliminates Nguyen

Scotty Nguyen

All of the chips went into the middle on the flop of     with Scotty Nguyen playing it blind against Gary Hasson.

The hands were tabled and it was the    held by Hasson versus the    held by Nguyen.

The turn card   kept Nguyen ahead with ten high.

The river  , however, paired Hasson which sent Nguyen to the rail and ended his 2021 Main Event run.

"Poker Brat" Needs to Get his Beauty Sleep

Phil Hellmuth called the floor manager over to inform her that he's going to leave early for break so that he can go take a long nap before returning to finish off the session.

He was concerned that his chips wouldn't be safely moved from the feature table to his new seat following break. Fortunately, for the "Poker Brat," the floor manager said she'd accommodate his needs, and he can soon go enjoy a relaxing and stress-free nap.

Milliard-Feral Delivers Final Blow to Lacy

Julian Milliard-Feral

The action folded around to Patrick Lacy in the small blind and he limped before Julian Milliard-Feral eyed up his stack in the big blind. After a few seconds, Milliard-Feral put in a stack of orange chips to cover Lacy's stack. Lacy snap-called his remaining stack of roughly a little over 30,000 and both hands were tabled.

Keogh Shows the Bluff in Massive Pot

On the last hand before dinner break, a large pot had already developed by the river when Glen Keogh bet 135,000 on a board of      .

Aleksandr Shevlyakov tanked for several minutes, staring down Keogh and cutting out the chips to call. He eventually decided to fold as Keogh showed    for just a pair of eights before heading off for dinner.

"Well done, sir," tablemate John Frenz said, giving Keogh a fist bump.

Hellmuth Folds Queens to Aggression

(Post took place during 600/1,200 blind levels on the PokerGO stream, which is on a 45-minute delay)

Simon Burns opened in early position for 2,500 with    and Hellmuth found    on the button and he three-bet to 7,000. Raj Singh, in the small blind with   , four-bet to 21,600.

Action back on Burns, who folded and then Hellmuth folded and then showed his cards.

Kudo Busts One Amid Controversy

A large commotion was heard coming from Table #509 as the floor was called over. The table said that a player bet around 8,500 on a board of      before Koki Kudo raised all in.

The original better thought about the decision for a few minutes before turning his hand over, exposing    without acting. The floor ruled he must act and put him on the clock. As the count reached zero, he called with two pair but Kudo had    for a set.

The river came the   and the all-in player was eliminated, but not before the floor informed him he would've received a significant penalty had he survived.
