Lindgren Bluffs with Bottom Pair

(Hand took place during 800/1,600 blind levels on the PokerGO stream, which is on a 45-minute delay)

Eric Lindgren raised to 3,500 with    and his opponent in the big blind made it 11,600 with   . Lindgren made the call and they both saw a flop of    . The big blind led out for 13,000 and the three-time bracelet winner called.

When the   hit on the turn, the preflop aggressor checked and Lindgren bet out 24,000 with bottom pair and an open-ended straight draw. His opponent, with the best hand, couldn't pull the trigger on a call and decided on a fold.

Meant to be for Dechant

Dieter Dechant

Dieter Dechant raised in early position to 3,600 and the action folded around to the big blind who defended.

The dealer spread a flop of     and the big blind check-raised the bet of 7,000 from Dechant to 25,000 and Dechant made the call.

The   hit the turn and the big blind instantly announced all in and Dechant wasted no time calling off his stack of 81,500.

Dechant was out-flopped by the opponent's two pair and after seeing the hands Dechant said, "Oh, well. If it's meant to be it's meant to be."

And meant to be it was as the   landed on the river, counterfeiting the big blind's two pair. Dechant took down the pot with kings and tens.

Larsen Bests Phoenix Flush Over Flush

Caleb Larsen and Nick Phoenix went to the river on a board of      . Larsen, in early position, put out a bet of 50,000 and Phoenix went into the tank.

"I have the flush but I think yours is bigger. That's what I get for playing low cards," Phoenix said. He eventually called but saw that his read was right. Larsen turned over    for the nut flush to drag the pot, while Phoenix was left on a severe short-stack.

Zhu Ramps up The Aggression

A player in the cutoff opened to 4,000 and was three-bet to 16,600 by Yueqi Zhu on the button. Action folded back around to the original raiser, who called.

The cutoff checked to Zhu on the     flop and he continued for 10,200. His opponent called.

Zhu was checked to once more when the   fell on the turn and Zhu bet again for 18,200. The cutoff folded after a bit of thought and Zhu dragged the pot.

Liv Boeree defended her big blind over a preflop raise from early position and saw a flop of    . Boeree checked, then called when her opponent bet 5,000.

The turn came the  , and Boeree again check-called a bet, this time for 7,000. The   came on the river and both players checked.

Prize Pool and Payout Information

Coming back from the last break, tournament officials announced the official numbers for the 2021 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event.

Over six starting flights, the tournament attracted 6,650 players. which created a $62,011,250 prize pool. That will be paid out to the top 1,000 finishers with a min-cash being worth $15,000. Everyone that makes the final table will become a poker millionaire, while the eventual winner will walk away with an $8,000,000 first-place prize.

Greenwood and Gerassi Applying Preflop Aggression

A player in middle position opened to 4,000 and the button flat-called. Lucas Greenwood in the small blind then three-bet jammed a stack of 45,000 and both of his opponent folded.

A few tables over, a player in early position opened the pot and David Gerassi three-bet to 12,000 in the big blind. His opponent didn't want to get involved with the big stack and folded.

Teisseire Comes Out on Top of Big Flip

Daniel Dangoor raised pre-flop before a player in middle position three-bet to 8,600. Action folded to French bracelet winner Antonin Teisseire in the big blind, who four-bet to 26,000.

Dangoor quickly folded, but the player in middle position went all in for around 50,000 and Teisseire quickly called.

The all-in player needed to win the coin flip to keep his Main Event dreams alive, but luck wasn't on his side as the board came down      . Teisseire ended up with a full house and the knockout.

"You won the bigger race. If you had to win one, that was the one to win," a tablemate told Teisseire after the hand.

The Grinder Puts One to the Test

A completed board of       was showing with approximately 40,000 in the middle. Michael Mizrachi had raised a bet of 12,000 up to 110,000, enough to put his opponent all in.

After some deliberation, Mizrachi's opponent tossed in his cards.

"I fold two pairs too," he said.

Mizrachi smiled, laughed, and considered showing his hand to the table.

"Show the bluff," said a tablemate.

In the end, Mizrachi placed his cards in the muck and dragged the pot.

Petit Continues to Build

Amadeusz Roślik raised from middle position and Rosalie Petit called from the button to see a     flop.

Petit called the 7,000 continuation bet from Roślik and then did the same for 15,000 after the   hit the felt on the turn.

The   river was checked by both players and each tabled their hands.

Roślik    for bottom pair but it was no good as Petit held    to win the pot with a pair of sevens.
